Thank you for choosing us as Your Credit Union. Your Credit Union Page 2 BVA Members Did You Know? Since its inception in 1966 the BVA Federal Credit Union has been serving its members in and around the Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania area with exceptional financial products.

The BVA FCU has grown its membership to over 3070 with assets of more than $28,000,000. They have 7 full time employees with a single main office. Construction is underway for a second branch location in Rostraver near Route 70 and 51. The new location will offer the same great products and services as the main office.

Unlike most other financial institutions, BVA FCU is not-for-profit, democratically controlled, volunteer-run, and a member -owned cooperative. They exist to serve their members, and that level of service remains high even during the toughest times. Instead of issuing stock or paying dividends to outside shareholders, BVA FCU provides value to their members by returning earnings in the form of lower loan rates, higher interest on deposits, and no transaction fees.

The National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), the only governing body over all federally chartered credit unions, has categorized BVA Federal Credit Union as “a well capitalized credit union”. Every year audits are conducted by the NCUA and an independent CPA audit company. These are the only qualified rating entries. The Credit Union National Associa- tion (CUNA) has given BVA FCU an “outstanding status”.

The BVA Federal Credit Union offers its members a full service website that allows for true "Banking from Home" func- tionality. Users have the ability to get account balance and history reports, transfer money between accounts, make bill payments, and so much more.

Members can also take advantage of a full array of loans including real estate, and new and used car loans. They also offer a VISA Platinum credit card to its members at a reasonable APR that is based on credit worthiness. Select Employee Groups at BVA Federal Credit Union What is a Select Employee Group or SEG? A SEG is an employer, association, church, school or organization that has opened membership to their employees, members or students to be able to join the credit union. There is no fee for any of those groups to open membership. Membership at the credit union is considered a benefit and is treated as such.
