It was more of the same and less of the same in yesterday afternoon’s MINNESOTA/IOWA POD STANDINGS 4-3 walk-off loss to the Waterloo Bucks for the Rochester Honkers, TEAM W L PCT GB STR L10 who showed vast improvement from recent games in this historic 14-game skid, but ultimately couldn’t hold on. Tanner Cunha hurled Waterloo 20 10 .667 -- W2 7-3 his most impressive start of the season, dealing through 7.1 innings St. Cloud 16 10 .615 2.0 W6 8-2 and allowing just three runs. The original ice sheet opened for business in November of 1972. For over 15 years, the MAC was the only sheet within a 30 mile radius. Originally, the MAC hosted three area high schools, St. Cloud State and St. John's University hockey programs, plus the areas youth hockey and figure skating organizations. With the increase in skating over the last 12 years, St. Cloud has seen ice sheets added to St. Cloud State University and the Benton County Fairgrounds.
