 WHY

 WHERE

 WHAT

 HOW  WHY

The main Japanese management methods have allowed Japan to reach the primacy in many industrial sectors. Thanks to these managerial methods, known as Production System, Kaizen's activities, Total Productive Maintenance Management, Total Quality Management, many Japanese companies have achieved the excellence.  WHERE

Among them Toyota Motors stands out and its model is at the base of the Lean Approach, the name with which those same methodologies have spread also in the West. These ones, while making improvements in all business areas, prove to be effective above all in production area so that just the plants of Japanese companies represent the best practices that our entrepreneurs and managers are inspired by; they are factories that have been implementing quality improvement, cost reduction, timing reduction and environmental protection for years.  WHAT

Therefore NV proposes to accompany its customers in a KAIZEN STUDY TOUR organized on Specific Thematic Areas to allow participants to touch those realities and absorb as many teachings as possible, so that they can be more easily declined and applied in their own companies, once back home. NV makes use of collaborators just specialized in this activity, who support the organization of the Kaizen week especially for visiting the factories of at least 5 companies belonging to large groups.  HOW

This project is also perfectly integrated with a preliminary training that finds its ideal location at the NV Lean Academy headquarters, where thanks to the reconstruction of a simulated production process it is possible to understand the dynamics at the base of Lean Manufacturing and to take over of specific methodologies. The Study Tour intervenes subsequently representing the right and profitable completion of the path. JAPAN STUDY MISSION ON LOGISTICS 2020 JAPAN STUDY MISSION ON LOGISTICS

Japan Freight Railway Company

Japan Freight Railway Company was founded in 1987 as the only freight railway company in Japan with a nationwide network. It has a social mission to carry safely, accurately, in large quantities and cleanly everything such as oil, paper, food, agricultural products, and electronic components that are essential for people to live and for industry. Furthermore, on the base of the rail freight transport, the company is expanding and developing services to meet the diverse needs of society, including construction of large logistics bases, technology export of the rail freight business, and development of new vehicles and containers. Amid the rapidly growing shortage of truck drivers, in addition to environmental issues and problems, rail freight has attracted great attention and expectations as a growing industry that will drive social and economic development in the future. • In rail transport, carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from transporting 1 ton of cargo for 1 km are estimated to be about 1/8 that of commercial trucks.
