What is Cellular/Mobile Data? Cellular/Mobile Data is the transmission of data via cellphone. It is a separate service from Voice Calling and Text Messaging. A cell phone data plan is critical if you want to access the Internet from a Smartphone. If you send pictures, stream music, movies, download games, send or receive an email, download apps or visit a web page, you are sending and receiving data from your Smartphone. Most cell phone providers offer several data plan options. These options are designed to help you find a plan that best fits the amount of Data a customer uses.

How is Data Measured? Data is measured in Megabytes (MB). Even though data is measured in Megabytes, most cell phone companies provide plans with data offered in Gigabytes (GB).

3G 1. Kilobyte (KB) - Smallest unit of measurement 00003 6 2G GB/Month4G 2. Megabyte (MB) - 1 MB = 1,024 KB LTE

3. Gigabyte (GB) - Largest unit of measurement - 1 GB = 1,024 MB DATA USAGE

3G Data Speed - The Data upload and download speed of the device. 4G 2G LTE 4G LTE Speed is currently the fastest Data speed available. DATA 3G Speed is slower than 4G LTE. SPEED It is important to note that data speeds and usage vary by device.

Monthly Plan Data Terms

Capped Data - When the customer has reached their alloted Data allowance, the Data will stop working until they add more Data. Throttled Data -The Data speed is slowed when the High Speed Data Limit is reached. Carry-Over Data - Data that carries over for a period of time. Bridge Data or Add-On Data - Data added to an account for use once the current plan Data is used.
