BOKU Chevron Cowl

Approximate Measurements: 9” wide, 30” circumference Materials: **Boku: 2—50G balls, color 13 : 4.5 sts = 1” in pattern stitch on size 8 needles. Needles: US size 8 needles, scrap yarn, spare needle (for grafting/kitchener stitch)

** You have 2 choices for knitting this- use one colorway and start at different areas of the colorway (ie blue for one strand and green for the other) OR you can use 2 different colors and alternate them throughout. We used one colorway.

Pattern is written for smallest size, with larger size in parenthesis. If only one number is given, it applies to all sizes.

With scrap yarn, Cast on 40 sts. Cut scrap yarn and attach Boku. Pattern Stitch Row 1: k3, *kf&b, k6, sl1, k2tog, psso, k6, kf&b; rep from *, working the last 3 sts as k3. Row 2: k3, purl to last 3 sts, k3. Repeat these 2 rows 2 times more. **Attach second strand of yarn. Work 6 rows of pattern stitch, starting with row 2 (normally you would start with row 1, but this will make the cowl reversible). Make sure to carry the first strand up the side of the work to prevent cutting and in ends.

Work with first strand once more for 6 rows, starting with row 1. Repeat from ** for pattern. When piece measures 30” from cast on edge, end with last row of second strand. Unravel the scrap yarn from the cast on and graft/kitchener stitch the 2 ends together. Weave in all ends and block.
