SHORT SYNOPSIS In a cross-country murder spree that ended with the killing of fashion icon Gianni Versace, “My Night with Andrew Cunanan” is a docudrama crime thriller based on real life events in San Francisco in 1997. It’s the story of one young gay drunken man's encounter with him days before he would begin that spree that would earn him the dubious honor of the youngest serial killer on the FBI's Top 10 Most Wanted list. Could one decision made during that encounter have prevented the murder of five men? This cautionary tale invites us to consider whether 5 fate can be changed by exploring 'What if...? DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT As my first screenplay, directorial debut, and self-produced short, I wanted to make a film that was close to heart and within my realm of experience. For better or worse, I had a connection with Andrew Cunanan days before began his killing spree of at least five victims – including iconic fashion designer Gianni Versace. For More Information and High Res Images Visit the Websites at: www.mynightwithandrewcunanan-themovie.com www.vanitasproductions.com MY NIGHT WITH ANDREW CUNANAN P R E S S K I T In writing the screenplay I explored a state similar to that of self-induced hypnotic regression in order to re-live my experience with Andrew in April of 1997 and craft truthful dialogue. Eerily, as I typed out the script at my desk, it seemed he was just a few feet behind my chair. I believe many can relate to the single and how we may place ourselves in vulnerable states and situations in meeting new people. As a cautionary tale, even those who may appear “normal”, intelligent, and even charismatic on the surface may harbor a darker shadow side beneath. For those who know me personally, this film may be too close for comfort in its exploration of “What if…?” For all, I invite you to consider how one decision changes everything. -- Devin Kordt-Thomas (Actor-Director-Writer-Producer) C A S T B I O S Adrian (Raul) Bustamante (Andrew Cunanan) Raul, a member of the Screen Actors Guild and AFTRA, has been in such television shows and films as "The Young and The Restless", "Dexter", "What Just Happened" and "Red Tails" to name a few. Abstract Sentiment analysis has taken on various machine learning ap- proaches in order to optimize accuracy, precision, and recall. However, Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) Recurrent Neu- ral Networks (RNNs) account for the context of a sentence by using previous predictions as additional input for future sentence predictions. Our approach focused on developing an LSTM RNN that could perform binary sentiment analysis for positively and negatively labeled sentences. In collaboration with Mariam Salloum, I developed a collection of programs to classify individual sentences as either positive or negative.

  • Versace's Native American
VERSACE’S NATIVE AMERICAN A COLONIZED FEMALE BODY IN THE NAME OF AESTHETIC AND DYNASTIC GLORY 1 In this contemporary moment fashion designers have the means to collaborate with Native American fashion designers. However, there is still a flourishing fashion market that refuses to recognize Native American tribes as owners of intellectual property.1 While some brands may initially start on the right track via collaboration with Native artists, it may not always end in success.2 Most recently, Versace has included Native American designs in their ready-to-wear fashion for the 2018 Spring-Summer season. This component of the collection belongs to a tribute honoring Gianni Versace and his original FW ’92 Native American print (Figures 1 and 2).3 I will be discussing the implications of the revived Native American print and how it affects Native North American men and women. In this essay, I will look at Versace’s legacy and his original print; the new Native American Tribute Collection by Donatella Versace; and Donna Karan’s collaboration with Pueblo artist, Virgil Ortiz. I argue that respectful recognition of Native North American property is thrown aside for aesthetic and dynastic glory, which in turn, allows non-Native designers to colonize the ‘exotic’ Native woman’s body by denying Native North American men and women the opportunity to represent themselves to the global fashion community. Virgil Ortiz’s collaboration with Donna Karan illustrates how respectful collaboration can shape the dominant society’s perception of Native North American women. If we use Native North American fashion as a framework to understand how Native designers are working to dismantle mainstream stereotypes, it is imperative that global designers 1 “Navajo Nation Sues Urban Outfitters,” Business Law Daily, March 18, 2012.

It is approximately ten miles south of Wilmington, Delaware and 35 miles south of Philadelphia. Figure 1 shows the refuge and vicinity. History of the Refuge The presence of the Service in Salem County was initiated by Executive Order 6582, issued by President F. D. Roosevelt in 1934. This Order established the Killcohook Migratory Bird Refuge and gave the Service (then the Bureau of Biological Survey) secondary jurisdiction of the 1500-acre property "...as a refuge and breeding ground for wild birds and animals." The US Army Corps of Engineers retained primary jurisdiction of the area for use as a spoil disposal site in connection with dredging operations on the Delaware River. Supawna Meadows National Wildlife Refuge was originally proposed in 1961, as the "Goose Pond Addition" to Killcohook. That year marked the beginning of an accelerated land acquisition program by the Service due to the passage of the Wetlands Loan Act, which authorized $105 million for the Migratory Bird Hunting Stamp Fund for a seven-year period. The 1961 Goose Pond Addition proposal included approximately 4,000 acres composed of 45 % marsh, 26 % farmland, 20 % water, 6 % brush, and 3 % timber. Construction of three pools was planned and 850 acres were to be used to produce supplemental food for migrating and wintering waterfowl.

  • 80S 90S FACING BEAUTIES. Italian Fashion and Japanese Fashion at a Glance
80s 90s FACING BEAUTIES. Italian Fashion and Japanese Fashion at a Glance. Museo della Città - Ala Nuova Rimini 11 ottobre - 8 dicembre 2013 Considerations After a Fashion Exhibit by Simona Segre Reinach. (Associate Professor of Fashion Studies, University of Bologna, Rimini Campus). Fashion curation has become a central preoccupation within fashion studies. Several articles have been written on the subject - illustrating the development, ambivalences and controversies that such a practice entails: the controversy about Diana Vreeland (Steele 2008), the role of exhibitions within the “new fashion history” (M. Riegels 2011, C. Breward 2008), the theoretical (and visual) ambivalences in representing West and East in fashion (Fukai 2010). Nowadays curation seems to be a particularly hot issue in fashion theory. The popularity of fashion in museums goes hand in hand with a new broader reception of what constitutes art, as well as a growing interest in fashion studies. (Fukai 2010b, Riegels 2011). Moving from dress museology to fashion museology entails a change into the practice and methodologies of curation (M. Riegels 2011). This is because fashion exhibits are more and more attracting people in museums and because, for both scholars and students, it is a way of experimenting with the materiality of fashion. It can be argued that there is a continuum, rather than a separation, between different ways in which fashion is exposed: retail, catwalk shows, fashion blogs are all involved in curation - that is in choosing the ways in which to transfomr cloths and garments into specific fashion statements. On the other hand, the experience of professional fashion curators is totally crucial in deciding what is a real exhibit, and what it is just a communication device.

_____________________________________________________________ Researching the Multiple Murderer: A Comprehensive Bibliography of Books on Specific Serial, Mass, and Spree Killers Michael G. Aamodt & Christina Moyse Radford University True crime books are a useful source for researching serial killers. Unfortunately, many of these books do not include the name of the killer in the title, making it difficult to find them in a literature search. To make researching serial killers easier, we have created a comprehensive bibliography of true crime books on specific multiple murderers. This was done by identifying the names of nearly 1,800 serial killers and running searches of their names through such sources as WorldCat, Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble, and crimelibrary.com. This listing was originally published in 2004 in the Journal of Police and Criminal Psychology and was last updated in August, 2012. An asterisk next to a killer’s name indicates that a timeline written by Radford University students is available on the Internet at http://maamodt.asp.radford.edu/Psyc%20405/serial_killer_timelines.htm and an asterisk next to a book indicates that the book is available in the Radford University library. ______________________________________________________________________________________ Adams, John Bodkin Devlin, Patrick (1985).
