Judge Hall began her legal career in 1980 in Washington, DC, as a Legislative Director to the late US Congressman Mickey Leland. In 1982, she became a senior attorney with the Illinois Department of Human Rights and subsequently became General Counsel in 1984. On January 11, 1991, she was appointed as a Circuit Court Judge of Cook County, and was elected in November 1992. She served in the Domestic Relations and Law Divisions of the Circuit Court, and serves on the Education and Executive Committees of the Supreme Court’s Illinois Judicial Conference. On February 2, 1999, she was assigned as an Appellate Court Judge and elected Appellate Court Judge in 2000. Huhnsik Chung Honored as a Trailblazer

On June 11, before a sold out crowd of more than 320 in midtown Manhattan, the Korean American Lawyers Association of Greater New York (KALAGNY) honored Huhnsik Chung (New York) with a trailblazer award, presented by Don Lui, General Counsel of xerox. Joon H. Kim, Chief Counsel for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York was also honored. KALAGNY, a professional membership organization of attorneys and law students concerned about issues affecting the Korean American legal community in greater New York, was incorporated in 1986, to encourage the professional growth of its members as well as provide legal support for the Korean American community. Diversity Awareness: Celebrating Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Pride

In June 1969, New York City police raided the Stonewall Inn, a bar frequented by lesbians and gays. Today, we honor the national movement for LGBT equality that began in the wake of that raid and show our support for LGBT individuals and their families in June.
