Regional Weather Inference And Forecast Thursday, 20 July 2017 Morning Issue Time : 11.30 Hrs. IST Meteorological Analysis (Based on 0830 Hrs IST Observations) Weather Watch :-Heavy to Very heavy rainfall occured at isolated places over Vidarbha and West Madhya Prasdesh. Heavy rainfall occured at isolated places over Chhattisgarh and East Madhya Pradesh. Thunderstorm observed at few places over Chhattisgarh and at isolated places over Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha. Very light to moderate rainfall occurred at most places over Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha and Madhya Pradesh. Monsoon Watch :- Monsoon been active over Vidarbha. Inference:- The low pressure area over East Madhya Pradesh & neighbourhood, now lies over central parts of north Madhya Pradesh and associated upper air cyclonic circulation now extends upto 3.1 Km above mean sea level. Another low pressure area lies over Kutch & neighbourhood & associated upper air cyclonic circulation extends upto 2.1 Km above mean sea level. The upper air cyclonic circulation over south Gujarat region & neighbourhood has merged with this system. The axis of monsoon trough at mean sea level now passes through centre of low pressure area over Kutch & neighbourhood, Idar, Guna, center of low pressure area over central parts of north Madhya Pradesh, Ambikapur, Jamshedpur, Digha and thence east¬southeastwards to North¬East Bay of Bengal and extends upto 1.5 Km above mean sea level. The off¬shore trough at mean sea level from north Maharashtra coast to north Kerala coast persists. The east¬west shear zone now runs roughly along Latitude 23.0°N between 3.1 & 4.5Km above mean sea level.The western disturbance as an upper air cyclonic circulation over north Pakistan & adjoining Afghanistan at 3.1 above mean sea level persists and the trough aloft with its axis at 5.8 Km above mean sea level roughly along longitude 70.0°E and north of latitude 32.0°N, now runs roughly along longitude 72.0°E and north of latitude 34.0°N. An upper air cyclonic circulation lies over central parts of Rajasthan & neighbourhood and extends upto 1.5 Km above mean sea level.
