Annual EEO Public File Report (June 1, 2016-May 31, 2017)

The purpose of this EEO Public File Report (“Report”) is to comply with Section 73.2080(c)(6) of the FCC’s 2002 EEO Rule. This Report has been prepared on behalf of the Station Employment Unit that is comprised of the following station(s): KKSS-FM, KKRG-FM, KJFA-FM, KIOT-FM, and is required to be placed in the public inspection files of these stations, and posted on their websites, if they have websites.

The information contained in this Report covers the time period beginning June 1, 2016 to and including May 31, 2017 (the “Applicable Period”).

The FCC’s 2002 EEO Rule requires that this Report contain the following information:

1. A list of all full-time vacancies filled by the Station(s) comprising the Station Employment Unit during the Applicable Period;

2. For each such vacancy, the recruitment source(s) utilized to fill the vacancy (including, if applicable, organizations entitled to notification pursuant to Section 73.2080(c)(1)(ii) of the new EEO Rule, which should be separately identified), identified by name, address, contact person and telephone number;

3. The recruitment source that referred the hiree for each full-time vacancy during the Applicable Period;

4. Data reflecting the total number of persons interviewed for full-time vacancies during the Applicable Period and the total number of interviewees referred by each recruitment source utilized in connection with such vacancies; and

5. A list and brief description of the initiatives undertaken pursuant to Section 73.2080(c)(2) of the FCC rules.

Appendices 1, 2 and 3 which follow have been designed, in the aggregate, to provide the required information. Please note that the numbers listed on Appendix 2 under the column entitled “Full-time Positions for Which This Source Was Utilized” refer to the number of the full-time job positions listed on Appendix 1.

For purposes of this Report, a vacancy was deemed “filled” not when the offer was extended but when the hiree accepted the job offer. A person was deemed “interviewed” whether he or she was interviewed in person or over the telephone.

Participation in Job Banks:

New Mexico Broadcaster Association Career Job Bank. New Mexico Broadcasters Association is a media trade group whose membership includes numerous members in the broadcast industry across the state of New Mexico. It also has a significant amount of participants who are women and/or minorities.

We posted all job openings on this site, which included: Account Coordinator, Account Executive (3).

Participated in Job/Career Fairs:

1. New Mexico Broadcaster Association Virtual Job Fair---July 25, 2016---July 29, 2016--- ONLINE Job Fair.

The New Mexico Broadcasters Association is a virtual/online job fair which runs the course of a week, where interested candidates are provided information about jobs available in the broadcast industry, as well as specific positions at Univision Radio. Applicants can review all of the broadcasting industry information available, as well as view our current postings we have supplied NMBA with, and if interested, they are able to apply online for any open position, with applications being forwarded to the hiring manager for further consideration.

2. CareerIntro Job Fair – at the Hilton Gardens Inn, Albuquerque, NM on April 20, 2017.

General Manager, Larry Lemanski, Director of Sales, Jeff Joerg, and Operations Supervisor Logan Ray participated and provided interested candidates information about jobs available in the broadcast industry, as well as specific positions at Univision Radio (Account Executive and Promotions Tech).

8 Participated in Events Sponsored by Educational Institutions:

On June 8, 2016 KKSS, KKRG, KIOT, and KJFA hosted the Ohkay Owingeh Boys and Girls Club for a tour of the studios where they had the opportunity to experience behind the scenes live broadcast and meet with various department heads for Q & A regarding broadcast operations.

On July 5, 2016 KKSS, KKRG, KIOT, and KJFA hosted the Pojoaque Boys and Girls Club for a station tour. The group met with various departments and learned the inner workings and requirements of daily operations pertaining to the broadcast industry. Logan Ray, Operations Supervisor and On-Air personalities participated.

On July 26, 2016 a group of children from the Pojoaque Boys and Girls club were given a tour of the station and met with On-Air personalities for information regarding the broadcast industry. Anthony Garcia, Operations Supervisor and On-Air talent participated.

On November 18, 2016 Anthony Garcia, Operations Supervisor, along with staff from the Promotions Department participated at the Lavaland Elementary School Career Day. They spoke with the children about the various functions of a Radio stations.

Establishment of In-House EEO Training

The employment unit provides training and information to management level personnel as to methods of ensuring equal employment opportunity and preventing discrimination. On June 3, 2016, Laura Wright, HR Manager conducted EEO Training for all department heads that have hiring power. Hiring Managers in Attendance: Jeff Joerg, Sam Newton, Anthony Garcia, Logan Ray, and Larry Lemanski. Also in attendance for the training: Kathy Gonzalez, National Sales Coordinator.

Among the unit’s other efforts, on May 11, 2017, a memo was sent to staff reiterating our Equal Employment Opportunity policy.
