Jupiter Road Garland, Texas 75042 Ladies and Gentlemen: The Texas Education Agency requires that all school districts file a complete set of financial statements with the Texas Education Agency (TEA). The financial statements must be presented in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and audited by a firm of licensed certified public accountants in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards. Pursuant to that requirement, we hereby issue the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report of the Garland Independent School District (the District) for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2020. The Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (“CAFR”) is presented in five sections: 1.
