~ HEALTH & WELL BEING ~ MEDITATION AND INTUITION DEVELOPMENT CIRCLE with Julie Ramsdell, MS, RM In addition to reducing stress, improving sleep, improving relationships, and enhancing creativity, new research shows that meditation actually reverses at a cellular level stress-related changes in genes linked to poor health, aging, and depression. Learning to trust your intuition and use it effectively is essential to making spectacular decisions that enhance your life. In this fun and supportive circle, we practice both! In this series of UPLIFTING classes, we remind our bodies how to heal and calm, which is the most powerful medicine there is! The class will be part meditation, part energy medicine, and part intuition development. By connecting with your higher self during meditation, you become naturally attuned to your inner knowing, or "intuition.” We will practice different methods to enhance our intuition. No special attire or equipment is needed. All levels of experience are warmly welcomed. If you already meditate, joining a supportive meditation circle is very powerful and will enhance your practice. Classes are held at Fifth Chakra Energy, 200 The Great Rd. Suite 254A. SOUND HEALING: For Health & Well Being with Julie Ramsdell, MS, RM, Level 1 Biofield Tuning Practitioner Sound healing is the oldest form of healing, practiced by medicine men and shamans throughout human history. The effects of sound on the human body are powerful, and profound. In essence, sound can reset the body back to it's factory settings! This introduction will cover the powerful effects of Music, Toning, Tibetan Singing Bowls, and Tuning Forks. You will learn elegant and efficient ways to heal your own body: spiritually, mentally, and physically. Julie will demonstrate ways to induce the meditative state, reduce pain, increase calm and treat a host of other issues. Held at Fifth Chakra Energy, 200 The Great Rd, Suite 254A. VOICE: PUBLIC SPEAKING (Grades 6-8) with Right Brain Curriculum One of Americans' top fears is public speaking. If that is so, this profound fear probably starts at an early age. In our Public Speaking class, we take the fear out of speaking before an audience by getting kids talking in front of a supportive group about things in which they are interested. They write speeches on subjects of their choice and practice delivering them to the assembled students. As the kids practice in this low-pressure environment, they learn skills like standing up tall, using a loud voice and making eye contact. They will watch speeches of public figures and critique the successful and unsuccessful components of the speeches. They will also hold fun and engaging debates in which students are asked to take a position on given issues such as "Should school have homework?" and "What time should kids go to bed?" If the class is successful, our students will not list public speaking as their #1 fear when they grow up! See a full curriculum preview: rightbraincurriculum.com/public-speaking
