RAIDER REVIEW: The Raiders (13-13-5-2) play their final game before the THROUGH 33 GAMES holiday break tonight when the Kelowna Rockets (18-11-2-1) make their 2017-18 13-13-5-2, 33 PTS biennial visit to the Art Hauser Centre on Santa Anonymous Night. The Raiders 2016-17 7-24-1-1, 16 PTS are coming off of a 3-2 win over the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Wednesday LEADERS GOALS J. Stallard (24) night. Brett Leason and Jordy Stallard scored goals in the first period. Curtis ASSISTS C. Fonstad (29) Miske’s goal with 21 seconds left in the second period held up as the game POINTS J. Stallard (45) winner. Ian Scott stopped 28 shots to pick up his ninth win of the year.

VS. KELOWNA: This is the only meeting of the season between the Raiders and the Rockets. Last year, the Rockets downed the Raiders 7-1 at Prospera Place in Kelowna behind three-point nights from Tomas Soustal, Kole Lind, and Dillon Dube. The Raiders prevailed the last time these two teams played at the Art Hauser Centre as Ian Scott backstopped his side to a 3-1 win on the strength of a 31-save effort.

VS. BC DIVISION: This is the fourth time this season the Raiders have faced off against the BC Division, winning two of the previous three contests. The Raiders only loss to a BC Division team came in overtime against the .

LEAVING ON A HIGH NOTE: In recent years, the final game before the holiday break has been kind to the Raiders. Prince Albert has won five of its last seven games that closed out the schedule before the players headed home for the holidays.

POWER PLAYER: Centre Jordy Stallard scored his team-leading 10th power-play goal on Wednesday night against the Hurricanes. Stallard is tied with two other players for fourth in the league in power-play goals scored. He now has 18 power-play goals in his career. The Winnipeg Jets prospect will also be playing in his 200th career game tonight.

HEADING TO THE TOP: Winger Cole Fonstad was one of 40 players named to the rosters fort the 2018 Sherwin-Williams CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game in January. The draft eligible player from Estevan leads all 2000-born WHL players ins coring with 40 points (11 goals and 29 assists). Fonstad is currently riding an eight-game point streak, totalling three goals and seven assists in that span.

PROSPECT REPORT: The Raiders will be well represented at the 2017 Mac’s AAA Midget World Invitational Hockey Tournament, which begins on Boxing Day in Calgary.
