Welcome to Pony Club Championships East 2016!

We are very excited to have a partnership with Tryon International Equestrian Center for our Championships East competition. Both Tryon and the United States Pony Clubs seek to inspire a greater interest in horse sports and Pony Club is definitely the family way to go. This works well with Tryon’s aspirations to create a venue for the whole family. We need a large venue when we gather for our multiple horse disciplines’ competitions and Tryon fits the bill exceptionally well. They even have fun things such as a Carousel for our younger family members and our own Pony Club D Camp contributes to family involvement as well. We have also planned a number of special evening gatherings that should be a lot of fun.

I am personally looking forward to re-acquainting myself with volunteers who I have worked with in the past and meeting new friends along the way. It takes a whole village of volunteers to carry off such an event and this support of our members is another thing that makes Pony Club so special. For our competing members I wish you success and hope that you have a lot of fun as you enjoy the discipline of your choice. As stated in our Pony Club Pledge, “It is the enjoyment of the game well played, taking winning or losing in stride” that is the key to making this a special experience. We in Pony Club, are especially fortunate to not only have a team to work with, but in the case of our mounted disciplines, we have our wonderful equine partners.

Good luck and have fun! Nancy Pittman
