The World’s Most Powerful Spirits & Wine Brands, 2015 1 INTRODUctION We’ve witnessed brands scale the ranks and others fade into obscurity, but after 10 years of The Power 100, we can say without a doubt, there is never a dull moment in the wine and spirits industry! The last decade has seen the industry undergo major consolidation, creating a number of drinks brand powerhouses. The acquisition of Allied Domeq by Pernod Ricard and Fortune Brands in 2005 was one of the first in a spate of high-profile acquisitions, which has led to the more streamlined market we see today. The likes of Diageo, Pernod Ricard, Bacardi Martini and Beam Suntory dominate the market with a portfolio of mega-brands covering each sector. To honour 10 years of The Power 100, we have celebrated the decade’s high-flyers, analysed the decline of some brands, and reviewed our data to crown one brand the success story of the decade. -

In this context, shareholders are invited to vote by correspondence using the voting form or via the Internet on the Votaccess secure voting platform, or to give a proxy to the Chairman of the General Meeting or to any other individual or legal entity. Shareholders have the possibility to send written questions provided they are received no later than Friday April 16, 2021 at midnight by registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt, and via the email address: [email protected] In order to promote dialogue with shareholders, shareholders will also have the opportunity to ask questions which are not assimilated to written questions, from Saturday April 17, 2021, until the eve of the General Meeting, on April 19 at 3 p.m., at the following address [email protected]. Press Release – 1st September 2021 Pernod Ricard takes minority stake in U.S. based Sovereign Brands, innovative creators of Luc Belaire, Bumbu and other brands Pernod Ricard is delighted to announce the signing of a minority stake investment in Sovereign Brands and its portfolio of fast-growing super premium wine and spirits brands. Sovereign Brands is a family company founded by brothers Brett and Brian Berish, who are among the industry’s most innovative and creative builders of beverage brands, with a proven history of brand creation. Since 2000, Sovereign Brands has built a unique portfolio of forward-thinking brands in their respective categories across the world and especially in the world’s leading market, the USA. Although this plan specifically focuses on Original Spiced Rum, we anticipate that there will be a spillover effect, increasing sales for other Captain Morgan products as well. While the main tactics have roots in traditional advertising, we have also incorporated some public relations-type of programs, including promotional events and giveaways. Relevant history of the product or brand Background or history of the brand In 1944, the Seagram Co. began to produce Captain Morgan rum; now, Captain Morgan rum is produced by Diageo, the former owner of Burger King and Pillsbury and current owner of other spirits, including Baileys, Johnnie Walker and Smirnoff (Admin, 2007; Diageo, 2011). The Captain Morgan brand “takes its name from Captain Henry Morgan, a Welsh-born buccaneer who was appointed Governor of Jamaica in 1680 and was eventually knighted by King James I” (Diageo, 2011).
