Wild Great Wall Camping and Hiking Tour

Chenjiabao Great Wall is one of the most beautiful section of the wild Walls around Beijing which is never restored and less tourist. It located in Huailai County, Zhangjiakou, Hebei Province. The highest sea level is about 1280 meters.

Day 1 Beijing – Chenjiabao Great Wall Picked up your hotel and departure around 12:30 at noon. Have 2-hour drive to the Chenjia- bao Great Wall.

Hike on the Chenjiabao Great wall about 3 hours hiking route. This section is wild, ruined and original. When it’s getting dark, walking back to the towers on the wall and camp in a tent for overnight. Enjoy the bonfire and barbecue.

Day 2 Chenjiabao Great Wall - Beijing Watch the sunrise over the wall (if it is clear) at 6:00 a.m. and then get ready to climb down the mountain at 8:00 a.m. It is a bit hard for you to walk down the steep mountain from this wall. Usually you have to hold your hands on rocks, roots and bushes for balance.

After climbing down the mountain, head to farmhouse for breakfast at 9:00a.m. Then return to your hotel in Beijing.

Peking Hutongs

Hutong means a lane or alley, in fact the passage formed by lines of Siheyuan (a compound with houses around a courtyard) where old Beijing residents live. The name of a Hutong implicates its origin, location or history. It is in the gray-tiled deep lanes that families play, buy goods, gossip and connect. In the eyes of Beijinger, Hutong means a period of history, a cordial lifestyle and even an encyclopedia of Beijing.

Temple of Heaven

Temple of Heaven is located in the south-east of the Forbidden City. It covers an area of 273 hectares which is four times larger than the Forbidden City. It was used to hold a memorial ceremony for the God in Winter Solstice Festival and to pray for harvest in the first month of the lunar year by the emperors in Ming and Qing dynasties. It is China's existing largest struc- ture for sacrifice to heaven. The Temple of Heaven was included in the World Heritage List in 1998.

“We had a brilliant time in China loved it and would do it again. the itiner- ary you arranged for us was very good and we got to see and do most of the things we had requested, except our time in Guilin but that was due to the weather. I was really impressed that everything was taken care of, transport, food, tickets etc. food at the restaurants were of good quality we didn't even get a dodgy stomach. The drivers were all very good, espe- cially driving on your roads, which i wouldn't have even attempted. It was bad enough trying to cross them. It would have been nice if the drivers could speak English as well as the tour guides. All the guides were very good and did everything to help and advise us.
