1967 IFBB TEENAGE & SENIOR MR. EASTERN AMERICA MUSCLE SHOW

BROOKLYN ACADEMY OF MUSIC

SATURDAY, JUNE 3, 1967

8 P.M. On the cover: 1966 IFBB TEENAGE & SENIOR MR. EASTERN AMERICA winners, Rock Stonewall (SENIOR, left) and Tommy Aybar (TEENAGE). \VHAT IS A TROPHY?

'Vhat is a trophy? It is a symbol of success. It says, "My owner is a winner - a champion, and I will remind him and all who see me through the years of his victory." Yes, it is also a lasting memorial that inspires its possessor to climb to even greater heights. We are determined to advance . The trophy is one of our tools. It says to the bodybuilder, "I am your reason for building your muscles, so that you may experience the thrill of competitive sport, so that you may win me and all I represent, :'O that the world may see and bring you fame and fortune, so that you may continue to he inspired and climb to the top, so that you may inspire others to follow in your shadow."

Who provides our trophies? We do. Occasionally, we accept a donation from a pri vate individual who has a special interest, or who wishes to create a new award. For example, tonight Leroy Colbert of the World Health & Sport Center is donating the Best Arms trophies. Fitting; he is famous for his ~Oi" arms. Dr. Jules Levine of the R & J '"' Health Club is donating a trophy to the Best Poser. A chiropractor, he knows how difficult it is to exhibit the muscles. AI Townsend, who has assisted backstage, is donat ing a trophy to the Most Promising Teenager, thereby creating a new award. It is vital, he feels, that youngsters who are not among the winners be given an opportunity to compete for a prize within their :r:each; such a prize would encourage a beginner with potential to strive for ultimate victory. All winners are chosen by our expert judges, not the donors. We do, however, encourage the donors to make the presentations.

Would you like to create a new award and donate a trophy at a future IFBB contest held here at the Academy? The next event is on September ~3rd, and if you are inter-. ested, send your ideas to Bud Parker, 801 Palisade .Ave., Union City, N . J. THE INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION OF BODYBUILDERS
