More than 20,000 people visiting the camp commit to donate their eyes after death, thus paving the way to light for others. Recognizing the rising demand of blood, regular camps are organized and more than 5,000 units of blood is collected, which is passed on for the wellbeing of the society.
To cater to the needs of future entrepreneurs, Lion’s Quest Program is a remarkable step. More than 15 Workshops are organized and in every of the workshop almost 40 school teachers are trained by trainers of international repute, with the finest methods to deal with teenagers’ sensitive issues related to alcohol and drugs consumption, smoking and pornography. To eradicate the curse of illiteracy, the Samiti has arranged for free of cost education programmes in 24 villages (Dasna, Dadri and Pilkhuwa) located in and around the district, Ghaziabad. More than 2500 children are being benefited under this scheme.
Health of people remains the topmost priority. The Samiti provides effective healthcare assistance in the village, Farid Nagar. For this purpose, a dedicated hospital with essential facilities has been set up, which is served by numerous qualified doctors. To assist the youth in matching steps with the upcoming technology, an ITI college is in its last stage of being set up. The construction is almost complete with the helping hands of Dr. Gupta and other respected members of the Samiti. Dr. Gupta is making every effort to ensure that the college begins providing professional education to the students from the academic year 2014-15.
Extension of Social Welfare to Non-Humans When we talk about social service, we very well understand that this service is not limited to helping the humans. Social service is a broader concept and involves the protection and welfare of all living beings. Dr. Sunil Gupta inherits love and care for cows from his ancestors. India is the nation where cows are considered as Goddess. However, the protection of this holy class has always been a foremost concern.
Dr. Gupta, as an attempt to promote the welfare of animals, opted to become the founder member of Shri Krishan Gaushala, which is a registered society located in the heart of the city, Ghaziabad. As a member of the executive committee, Dr. Gupta plays an eminent role in implementing policies and programs that are beneficiary for the inhabitant animals. It is considerable to note that the Society spent 4 Crore Rupees in the financial year, 2012-13 for the care and prosperity of the inhabitant cows. that Bio-gas generated by three Bio-gas plants is processed to take apart Methane, which can further be exploited as CNG.
With the commitment of Dr. Gupta, the society has managed to take care of more than 2100 cows, alongwith providing an adequate infrastructure for their well-being. A subsidiary unit has been set up at Kanha Upvan, Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad, which takes care of cows prevented from being smuggled. The cows are provided with quality food material and sufficient care is taken in terms of vaccination. The infrastructure of the Gaushala has been developed keeping in mind that the inhabitants are provided with ample space. As an active member, Dr. Gupta extends his help in the form of funds and time-bound service.
Belief in God beyond the Limitations of Religions and Castes Dr. Sunil Gupta holds utmost faith in God and dedicatedly believes that his grace is the underlying support for the entire mankind. Being away from superstitions, Dr. Gupta prays for the betterment of the entire society and global social viability. As an attempt to stay closer to the divine power, he is working as an active member of the ISKCON and many other religious societies.
Dr. Gupta respects the religions and customs of all the societies around the world. He is a regular visitor of Churches, Gurudwaras and other religious destinations. While being outside the borders of India, Dr. Gupta has visited distinctive praying destinations. He also actively participates in the events organized at the Banke Bihari Temple in Vrindavan and Krishan BalramMandir, Baldeo, Mathura (U.P.).
