Turn right on Herring Creek Road (4N12) and follow for 5 miles until pavement ends, continuing 2 miles to the intersection of Hammil Canyon Loop. Turn right, go 2 miles. Turn right on 4N31 towards Pinecrest Peak, going ½ to ¾ mile until coming to a four-way intersection. Look left, kitty-corner, from the meadow. The trailhead sits back about 50 yards from the road.

Turn right on Herring Creek Road (4N12) and follow for 5 miles until pavement ends, continuing 2 miles to the intersection of Hammil Canyon Loop. Turn right, go 2 miles.
