Cable TV Pioneers Will Go Primetime Courtesy Of C-SPAN For The First Time, Induction Ceremony To Be Available On TV

New York, NY – September 24, 2020 – In a unique collaboration with the nation’s preeminent public affairs network C-SPAN, the 2020 Cable TV Pioneer Induction Ceremony will be carried by C-SPAN3 and streamed on C-SPAN.org. Dave Fellows, Cable TV Pioneer Chair, and C-SPAN co-CEOs and Cable TV Pioneers, and Rob Kennedy jointly made the announcement today.

The Pioneer’s 54th Annual Induction is planned for Friday, December 4, 2020, at 9 PM ET/6 PM PT, featuring the 22 members of the new class as well as shoutouts from cable television industry notables. “While the restrictions of Covid-19 prevent a traditional induction banquet, the pandemic has created a new and unprecedented opportunity to showcase the Induction as a special televised presentation on C-SPAN3,” Mr. Fellows said.

Details on the Induction program content will be announced shortly. Sponsorships will be available at Cabletvpioneers.com, or by contacting Louise Richardson at [email protected].
