The Woman Icon Awards celebrates and honours the contributions of women who have excelled in different fields. The initiative emphasizes the significant role played by women in society thereby appreciating their outstanding performance and perseverance. The Woman Icons are those who have displayed their exceptional capacity in the field of their choice.

It is very important that the success stories of such woman icons should be recognized so that they not only become a motivational factor for others but also be a meticulous factor in creating a well-organized society.

The aim of the Woman Icons is to facilitate a platform for women achievers. In this way their achievements is celebrated and showcased in the society. This will also empower the younger generation and ignite them to be a noble contributor to the society.

Woman Icons India edition is a premier award to recognize the outstanding work done by women in different fields. To be hosted annually, the objective is to celebrate the achievements of women's together with People, Government, Organizations and Corporates.

Hon'ble Ms. Justice Indira Banerjee Chief Justice Madras High Court, Chennai

Born on 24th September, 1957. Educated at Loreto House, Calcutta, Presidency College, Calcutta and Calcutta University College of Law. Enrolled as an Advocate on 5th July, 1985 and practised both in the Original and Appellate Sides of Calcutta High Court in all branches of law except criminal law. Appointed permanent Judge of Calcutta High Court on 5th February, 2002.Transferred to Delhi High Court w.e.f. 8th August, 2016. Elevated as Chief Justice of Madras High Court and assumed charge on 5.4.2017.

This category recognises achievements of inspiring women in the media. This award identifies the most influential woman in media.. Fine Arts This category honors and celebrates women who have made valuable contributions in any form of art and culture. Their actions will have educational value and public appeal.

Jury Awards This award goes to women, which the advisory board feels have made remarkable and noteworthy achievements in their field of work.

Awards Process A panel of experts from fields of work shortlist nominees based on the information provided and available publicly. Based on the information available they also verify the information provided to select her for the award.

The following process in followed for the selection of awardees

Phase 1 – Shortlisting of nominees from the open submissions

Phase 2 – Verification of the information given for the shortlisted nominees and final list of awardees under various categories to be made.

Phase 3 – Acceptance of the award by the winners including the publicity package and execution of the award function at a grand dinner in Chennai.

Awards submission All nominations have to be made through the online nomination form available on the www.womanicons.in. The online nomination should be followed by the submission of following documents sent to us by email. 1. A write up about her achievements – 300 to 500 words. 2. Profile of the individual / organization 3. Passport size photograph of good resolution 4. Any other additional details/ photographs in support of the nomination
