by Jon Bashor HA! IT SAVS THS FBI nl«r'9 SOME Curriculum has always been a favorite topic of discussion, at least among curriculum planners. And since the college is designed 0\D NOT HELP KILL DR. C.OMFORT '" to prepare us for life in the world (a well-worn cliche), I believe MARTlN L()THER K\NB .' W~ ~'/SSO? that CSB's curriculum is seriously lacking in at least one area, the parking area. To this end, I propose that Village 277.982 be implemented. Titled simply, "Parking Education," the course would be a general education requirement for students. Because some of the of-fenders are not students, mandatory night courses would be offered for CSB employees. There are several basic parking concepts which must be imp;uted to all on-campus parkers for the assured smooth functioning of CSB. The f'rrst idea that must be stressed is that the white lines in the parking lot are nothing to be ashamed of. Therefore, do not try to hide them by parking your car over them. Let them instead run along the sides of your car, beside your tires. Next, try not to use your car as an integral comporent of an obstacle course. Perhaps that driver beside you doesn't want to have to back around you, or drive over the planter to get out. One of the worst problems among CSB parkers is jealously over the color of another car. "Boy, I wish my car was that color." DONT WOR.~'( M' OEAA~ As a result, they try to transfer some of that color to their door WE NEVER RECOMMEND edges by rubbing the door along the side of another car. lT FOR RA'TS AN'/WAY Part of the fun of the coursewould be in helping parkers learn to read:' Newly educated parkers would be forced to differentiate between spaces marked "Handicapped," "Motorc)eles Only," and the all time favorites "No Parking" and "Pool Vehicles Only." Besides the obvious on campus be.tefits of such instruction, students venturing out into the real world could quickly put their newly-learned skills to work. Imagine the fun of fitting into only one parking spot at a time, facing the right direction, yet! Don't delay, sign up today.
