HP Insight Power Manager (IPM), a plug-in to HP HP Insight Power Manager Systems Insight Manager (HP SIM), is an integrated power monitoring and management application that provides centralized control of power consumption and thermal output. It extends the unified Support Matrix infrastructure management framework of HP SIM by providing new energy levers into the server. Leveraging HP Power Regulator technology, it makes policy-based power and thermal management possible. It expands the capacity of datacenters by reducing the amount of power and cooling required for supported ProLiant servers.
