A Regular meeting of the Board of Education of the Township of Bedminster was held on October 20, 2016 at the Bedminster Township School, 234 Somerville Road, Bedminster, NJ.

Board President Lou Casella called the meeting to order at 7:41 pm. Mrs. Schauer announced that in compliance with the “Open Public Meeting Act of the State of ” adequate notice of this meeting of the Board of Education of the Township of Bedminster was provided in the following manner:

WHEREAS , Chapter 231 of the Public Laws of New Jersey (1975) known and hereinafter designated as the “Open Public Meetings Act” requires notification of meetings of public bodies, as therein defined, in the manner therein set forth;

Maintenance Budget Worksheet-Form M-1 I.6 Move that the Bedminster Township Board of Education approve the required Annual Maintenance Budget Amount Worksheet (Form M-1) calculation of $35,178 for the 2017- 2018 budget year. This calculation establishes minimum maintenance budget as per state requirements/guidelines, upon recommendation of the Superintendent.

Comprehensive Maintenance Plan I.7 Move that the Bedminster Township Board of Education adopt the following resolution, upon recommendation of the Superintendent:

WHEREAS , the Department of Education requires New Jersey School Districts to submit three-year (3) maintenance plans documenting “required” maintenance activities for each Of its public school facilities, and

WHEREAS , the required maintenance activities as listed in the attached document for the various school facilities of the Bedminster Township School District are consistent with These requirements, and

WHEREAS , all past and planned activities are reasonable to keep school facilities open And safe for use or in their original condition and to keep their system warranties valid,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED , that the Bedminster Township School District hereby authorizes the School Business Administrator to submit the attached 2017-2018 Comprehensive Maintenance Plan for the Bedminster Township School District in compliance with the Department of Education requirements.

Nonpublic Technology Purchase(s) I.16 Move that the Bedminster Township Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent, approve purchase of a projector at a cost of $606.00 and a laptop dock at a cost of $1,625.81 for the for a total cost of $2,231.81 per the NJ Nonpublic Technology initiative for submission to the Somerset County Executive Superintendent.

Out of District Student Contracts I.17 Move that the Bedminster Township Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent, approve tuition reimbursement to the parents of student #108 attending Fusion School, Morristown, NJ for the 2016-2017 school year in the amount of $14,500.00, representing the fall semester.

I.18 Move that the Bedminster Township Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent, approve evaluation services by NJ Specialized Child Study Team for Student #108 for a total evaluation cost of $1,350.00

2016-2017 Financial Reports J.1 Move to approve the Report of the Secretary for September 2016 be submitted for Board review. As required by N.J.A.C. 6A:23-A-16.10(c)(3), I, Alicia M. Schauer, Business Administrator/Board Secretary, certify that no line item account has been over expended and that sufficient funds are available to meet the District’s financial obligations this fiscal year.

Acceptance of FY2016 Audit and Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR)

J.6 WHEREAS , the Bedminster Township School Board of Education engaged the firm Nisivoccia, LLP to conduct a yearly audit of the District’s financial records; and

WHEREAS , the firm audited these records for the 2015-2016 school year; and

WHEREAS , the auditor has submitted a full report of the audit to the Board; and

WHEREAS , no recommendations were reported;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED , that the Board of Education of the Township of Bedminster, does hereby accept and place in file the 2015-2016 Annual Audit Report of the records and report of examination of the financial statements for the year ending June 30, 2016, as submitted by the firm Nisivoccia and Company, LLP.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED , that the Board Secretary be directed to file the necessary reports with the State Department of Education and that a copy of the summary audit be appended to and become part of these minutes.

Nonpublic Transportation Aid J.7 WHEREAS, the board was notified on June 30, 2015 that the district would receive Nonpublic Transportation for the fiscal year 2015-2016 in the amount of $14,106: and
