DEWICK-MACPHIE DINING CENTER, 25 Latin Way Enjoy a real meal with friends and colleagues in the welcoming atmosphere of Dewick-MacPhie Dining Center. Meals are served from food stations that have a wide variety of hot entrees (including vegetarian selections), accompanied by seasonal vegetables and side dishes that our culinary team prepares fresh and often to your request. Pastries, cookies, cakes, and pies are made daily in the Tufts Bake Shop and served at every meal.

THE COMMONS DELI & GRILL, Mayer Campus Center, 44 Professors Row An array of meals and snacks awaits you at the Commons Deli & Grill located in the Mayer Campus Center. The Commons serves cold cereals and freshly baked muffins, bagels, and croissants daily. Favorites include signature hot-pressed sandwiches and customized wraps made to order, grilled burgers and grilled chicken sandwiches. Many ready-to-eat items including packaged salads and a variety of snacks and chips are also available.

HOTUNG EXPRESS MAYER CAMPUS CENTER, 44 Professors Row This modern café, located in the lower level of the Mayer Campus Center, features a full menu of Starbucks® hot and iced coffee, espresso-based drinks, Tazo® teas, Tropicana® juice, and Aquahealth® purified water. Grab a drink, or stop in for breakfast and lunch at this hip coffee bar open weekdays.

BROWN & BREW COFFEE HOUSE, 474 Boston Avenue Relax inside on upholstered chairs or outside on the umbrella-shaded patio and sip hot or iced barista-brewed artisan coffee and espresso drinks, organic teas, ice-cold fruit smoothies, and creamy blended frappes. Brown & Brew sells a large selection of Tufts Bake Shop pastries as well as an assortment of gourmet sandwiches and salads, ice cream sundaes, yogurt parfaits, freshly-baked cookies, bottled sodas, snacks, and chips.

EATON COMPUTER LAB The main entrance of the Computing Center is located on the first floor of Eaton Hall, at the top of the hill just on the academic quad.

Somerville’s Davis Square is located less than a mile from Tufts, making it a popular off-campus destination for students and visitors. You can find banks, a pharmacy and a post office in this eclectic neighborhood. Catch a movie at the Somerville Theater, enjoy flatbread pizza while candlepin bowling or enjoy some delicious BBQ.

DIRECTIONS FROM DOWLING HALL

Walking to Davis Square Exit Dowling Hall and walk across the footbridge. Continue straight onto the quad and turn left. Walk down the Memorial Steps to College Avenue and turn right. Follow College Avenue to the rotary (Powder House Square). Follow College Avenue out of the rotary (3rd exit). Continue on College Avenue into Davis Square (less than 10 minutes).

Driving to Davis Square Exit the Dowling Hall parking garage and turn right onto Boston Avenue. At the intersection, turn right onto College Avenue. Follow College Avenue to the rotary (Powder House Square). Follow College Avenue out of the rotary (3rd exit). Continue on College Avenue into Davis Square (0.5 miles).

Directions to I-93 Exit the Dowling Hall parking garage and turn left onto Boston Avenue. Turn right onto Winthrop St. Turn right onto Mystic Valley Parkway. Keep left at the fork, following signs to I-93. To make your way to Logan Airport or South Station, follow signs to I-93 South.

University Rules & Regulations

ALCOHOL The alcohol policy at Tufts University complies with the laws of the Commonwealth of . For anyone over the age of 21, alcohol may be consumed only in residence hall sleeping rooms or at sponsored functions on campus. Alcoholic beverages may not be consumed in any residence hall lounge areas, hallways or other common spaces.

IDENTIFICATION CARDS All guests are issued identification cards, which should be presented to gain access to athletic facilities and university libraries. You should keep your card with you at all times during your stay.

SECURITY The front door of each dormitory is locked between the hours of midnight and 7:00 am. Guests must use their assigned key fob to enter the building during those hours.

SMOKING Smoking is not permitted in campus buildings including sleeping rooms or residence hall balconies. Guests must stand at least 20 feet away from any buildings when smoking.

EMERGENCY AND HEALTH SERVICES The Tufts Police Department is on call 24 hours a day. The blue lights located around campus indicate a campus phone connected directly to Tufts Police for emergencies. Emergency contact information can be found on the following page. 15
