Dan Mullen Head Coach Sixth Season Now entering his sixth season, Dan Mullen has revitalized and reenergized the Mississippi State fan base. From the moment of his introduction on Dec. 10, 2008, as the 32nd head coach in school history, supporters have turned out in record numbers and capacity crowds to support the Bulldogs. Mississippi State fans have sold out a school-record 30 consecutive home games at Davis Wade Stadium entering the 2014 season. Each of the last four years has seen the school’s attendance record broken, including the 55,695 who packed into the stadium during the 2013 season. In fact, 19 of the school’s Top 20 crowds have occurred in the last five seasons, with all seven crowds in 2013 ranking in the Top 25 all-time. The Bull- dog faithful have gone on to watch the head coach lead the Maroon and White’s football program to four straight bowl games for the the first time in the 114-year history of the program. Mullen became the MSU all-time leader in bowl game victories with three when the Bulldogs dominated Rice 44-7 in the 2013 AutoZone Liberty Bowl. Just five years into his tenure, Mullen (36-28, .563) owns the highest winning percent- age as a coach at State since the late in 1954-55 (.600), and he is already fourth in school history for wins by a MSU head coach (36). Mullen stands just one victory away from entering the top four. On top of that, Mullen has dominated the Egg Bowl PERSONAL rivalry (4-1), owning the second-highest winning percentage (.800) against Ole Miss.
