Inasmuch as the educational process necessitates change, the information and educational requirements in this catalog represent a flexible program which may be altered where such alterations are thought to be in the mutual interest of the University and its students. Student Responsibility All academic units establish certain academic requirements that must be met before a degree is granted. Advisors, department heads, and deans are available to help the student understand and arrange to meet these requirements, but the student is responsible for fulfilling them. If, at the end of a students course of study, the requirements for graduation have not been satisfied, the degree will not be granted. For this reason, it is important for each student to acquaint himself or herself with all academic requirements throughout his or her college career and to be responsible for completing all such requirements within prescribed deadlines and time limits.
