Recent Projects CLOUD MIGRATION I designed and carried out a plan to migrate from physical servers to a cloud provider (Amazon Web Ser- vices). This involved moving both web and servers with as little interruption to services as possi- ble. The migration went smoothly, and resulted in monthly infrastructure cost savings well in excess of 50%, as well as significant improvements to operational reliability.

MOBILE APP Working from a rough set of requirements, I built an iPhone app for a school’s parents and students, pro- viding access to event calendars and news from their phones. I chose a development framework that al- lowed re-use of existing assets already in place to power the school’s web site. I re-used existing web ser- vices, downloading data to the user’s device to allow access to event details, even without a network con- nection. Experience PEER-ASSISTED STUDY SESSION LEADER, UNIVERSITY OF CINCINNATI, CINCINNATI, OH, 2015 As a leader for Peer-Assisted Study Sessions (PASS), my goal was to help my fellow students succeed in Physics. I provided assistance with homework problems, offering assistance with logical approaches to problem-solving, sharing time management advice and study tips, all in a relaxed environment outside of class.

SOFTWARE ENGINEER, LUDWOOD INTERACTIVE, CINCINNATI, OH 2005-2014 At Ludwood Interactive, I was responsible for all aspects of the company’s technical operations. I have evaluated, selected, and maintained software to support and streamline the company’s operations, such as CRM, support ticketing, and project planning. My focus was the design, development, and maintenance of client-facing systems.

DEVELOPER/ADMINISTRATOR, PHINTEC, DAYTON, OH 1999-2004 As an independent contractor, my duties varied based on the needs of a given project. My responsibilities included installation and configuration of server hardware and software. I also worked on projects to sup- port the operations of the company, including a provisioning system for web sites, user accounts, and file access. My most involved project was the design and development of a standards-compliant e-mail system.
