Alan Fraser Memorial Girls Tournament
A warm welcome to Christchurch United for the Canterbury Championship game. We’re looking forward to a great game. Good luck to both teams.
This weekend we are hosting our annual Alan Fraser Memorial Girls tournament. This will mark the fourth year of the tournament and we are excited to host teams from Christchurch, Mid and South Canterbury and from around the South Island. All the best to all teams in the tournament and thank you to everybody who has helped pull it together.
This weekend we also have a number of Waimak teams playing in the Christchurch International Cup. All the best to these teams and we hope they do well while having heaps of fun along the way.
If you’re a current member and you want to help raise money for the club then come along to our club meal at CBK at 6.30pm Thursday 19th July. $40 for adults and $20 for children for food. Please RSVP to Amy at [email protected]
Best wishes

Coaches Comments
Last Saturday we played Burwood at Kendall park, after some positive results recently we were looking to keep the momentum going and continue our late season rise up the table. The game started well for Waimak and in particular Nikita Potapov who had grabbed a brace before half time to help Waimak take a deserved 2 – 0 lead in to the break. The second half lost a little bit of the intensity but with second half goals to Chris Chick and Adam Harrison the boys finished the game comfortable 4 – 2 winners. Unfortunately Waimak’s goalkeeper was accidently kicked in the hand late in the game resulting with a trip to the hospital, x-rays have confirmed a broken bone in the hand, we all wish Kyle a speedy recovery and hope to see him down supporting the boys for the remainder of the season. This Saturday we play Christchurch United at Kendall park 2.30pm kick off, these games are always tense and hard fought. It would be great to see plenty of supporters at the ground Saturday to help the boys get another 3 points!
