RYAN HOPES TO BUILD OFF NOTRE DAME TRADITION OF TRANSFER IMPROVEMENT Transfers have become a normal part of college basketball over the past couple of decades and the Notre Dame basketball program, under Mike Brey, has brought in seven student-athletes prior to Cormac Ryan (eligible this year) and Trey Wertz (eligible in 2021-22). One of the mantras of Notre Dame basketball under Mike Brey has been to keep the amount of opponent foul shots down. Defend CAREER GAMES WITH... without fouling is a way of life for Irish basketball and the statistics bear out that trend. In the last 11 years, Notre Dame has failed to finish among the top 10 in least amount of personal fouls committed just twice.
