Pirongia Tourism Association has produced a pamphlet detailing things to see and do in the area. ‘Pirongia Trails’ is a full colour booklet with information on historical, natural world and arts and crafts attrac- FREE tions. The first print run of 1000 ran out fast and more had to be printed. If you are looking for something to do in the district this summer holidays you can collect a copy of the informative and easy to follow ‘Pirongia Trails’ from Te Awamutu i-SITE Centre in Gorst Avenue, Persimmon Tree Cafe, Pirongia Craft Shop or Pirongia Historic Visitor Centre (Te Whare Taonga o Ngaa Rohe or Arekahanara) which are all in Frank- lin Street, Pirongia. The four bedroom house in Horsham Estate, Rototuna was designed and built by Downey Designer Homes with support from dozens of Waikato firms on a 700m2 section sold at a cheap rate by developer Jon Webb. The bulk of sale proceeds will go towards the completion of Hospice Waikato’s children and young people’s facility, Rainbow Place, and a 10-bed respite care centre at the palliative care providers new Hillcrest site. Hospice Waikato CEO Elizabeth Bang says the auction result is a fantastic Christmas present. ‘‘The completion of our new facilities is a huge step closer now thanks to the TC181208GJ01 success of this campaign.
