AMENDMENT TO CERTIFICATE OF APPROVAL INDUSTRIAL SEWAGE WORKS NUMBER 9646-895NEH Notice No. 1 Issue Date: March 24, 2011

Site Location: Pinard Transformer Station Abitibi Canyon Road, north-east of Hwy 634, 1.5 km east of , and 4 km south-east of Abitibi Canyon Generating Station Pinard Unorganized Township, District of Cochrane

You are hereby notified that I have amended Certificate of Approval No. 9646-895NEH issued on November 8, 2010 for the collection, transmission, treatment and disposal of storm water drainage from the transformer spill containment areas and from the Station storm sewer system, as follows:

Modifications to Sewage Works

The approval issued by the said Certificate is hereby amended to include the approval of the following modifications to the existing sewage works:

- replacement of a portion of the existing open storm drainage ditch along the north and east sides of the Station, outside the Station fenceline, with a 600 millimetre diameter corrugated steel pipe storm sewer which will run for a total distance of approximately 240 metres:

from a point in the Station North Side Storm Ditch directly north of MH#9 to the east to a new precast concrete manhole, MH#18, in the north-east corner area of the Station, and hence continue south as the Station East Side Storm Sewer to outlet to the existing part of the open East Side Storm Ditch at a point where storm drainage from existing Manhole MH#1 is also discharged,

and will also include: geo-textile/rip rap protected entrance and exit areas for the corrugated pipe run, and backfill material and Granular "B" grading material over the new corrugated pipe section

to continue to convey the collected Station storm water drainage, via the existing downstream East Side Storm Ditch, south to a local creek and hence to the ;

- erosion/sedimentation control works, as required, to meet Best management Practices during construction to minimize the amount of silt discharged offsite;

all in accordance with the following submitted supporting documents:

8. Application for Approval of Sewage Works dated March 17, 2011 and signed by David Smith, Team Lead, E.S.&A, for Brian McCormick, Manager Environmental Services and Approvals, Hydro One Networks Inc., including supporting information and drawings.

The reason(s) for this amendment to the Certificate of Approval is (are) as follows: CONTENT COPY OF ORIGINAL

A portion of the existing open perimeter storm ditch is interfering with proposed electrical hardware installation and has to be replaced by a corrugated steel pipe section to allow bringing the area up to existing Station grade.

This Notice shall constitute part of the approval issued under Certificate of Approval No. 9646-895NEH dated November 8, 2010.

In accordance with Section 100 of the Ontario Water Resources Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter 0.40, as amended, you may by written notice served upon me and the Environmental Review Tribunal within 15 days after receipt of this Notice, require a hearing by the Tribunal. Section 101 of the Ontario Water Resources Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter 0.40, provides that the Notice requiring the hearing shall state:

1. The portions of the approval or each term or condition in the approval in respect of which the hearing is required, and; 2. The grounds on which you intend to rely at the hearing in relation to each portion appealed.

The Notice should also include:

3. The name of the appellant; 4. The address of the appellant; 5. The Certificate of Approval number; 6. The date of the Certificate of Approval; 7. The name of the Director; 8. The municipality within which the works are located;

And the Notice should be signed and dated by the appellant.

The above noted sewage works are approved under Section 53 of the Ontario Water Resources Act.
