Welcome

Please stand Revelation Song

Worthy is the Lamb Who was slain. Holy, holy is He. Sing a new song to Him Who sits on Heaven's mercy seat.

Chorus Holy, holy, holy Is the Lord God Almighty. Who was, and is, and is to come. With all creation I sing, “Praise to the King of kings. You are my ev'rything, and I will adore You.”

Clothed in rainbows of living color. Flashes of lightning, rolls of thunder. Blessing and honor, strength and Glory and power be to You, the only Wise King. Chorus

Filled with wonder, awestruck wonder, at the mention of Your name. Jesus, Your name is power, breath and living water, Such a marv'lous mystery. Yeah! Chorus twice

Ending With all creation I sing, “Praise to the King of kings. You are my ev'rything, and I will adore You!”

The sign of the cross may be made by all in remembrance of their Baptism.

Invocation In the name of the Father and of the T Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Confession and Absolution If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. But if we confess our sins, God, who is faithful and just, will forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

[Silence for reflection on God's Word and for self-examination.]

Let us then confess our sins to God our Father. Most merciful God, we confess that we are by nature sinful and unclean. We have sinned against You in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done and by what we have left undone. We have not loved You with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. We justly deserve Your present and eternal punishment. For the sake of Your Son, Jesus Christ, have mercy on us. Forgive us, renew us, and lead us, so that we may delight in Your will and walk in Your ways to the glory of Your holy name. Amen. Almighty God in His mercy has given His Son to die for you and for His sake forgives you all your sins. As a called and ordained servant of Christ, and by His authority, I therefore forgive you all your sins in the name of the Father and of the T Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Prayer of the Day Almighty and everlasting God, You knit together Your faithful people of all times and places into one holy communion, the mystical body of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Grant us so to follow Your blessed saints in all virtuous and godly living that, together with them, we may come to the unspeakable joys You have prepared for those who love You; through Jesus Christ, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

First Reading Revelation 7:9–17 After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice: "Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb." All the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, saying: "Amen! Praise and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and strength be to our God for ever and ever. Amen!" Then one of the elders asked me, "These in white robes — who are they, and where did they come from?" I answered, "Sir, you know." And he said, "These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore, "they are before the throne of God and serve Him day and night in His temple; and He who sits on the throne will spread His tent over them. Never again will they hunger; never again will they thirst. The sun will not beat upon them, nor any scorching heat. For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; He will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."

Epistle 1 John 3:1–3 How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know Him. Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when He appears, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. Everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as He is pure.

Holy Gospel Matthew 5:1–12 Now when [Jesus] saw the crowds, He went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to Him, and He began to teach them, saying: "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Crown Him (Majesty)

Crown Him with many crowns, The Lamb upon His throne. Hark! How the heav'nly anthem drowns all music but its own. Awake my soul and sing of Him who died for me, And hail Him as thy matchless King through all eternity.

Chorus Majesty! Lord of all! Let ev'ry throne before Him fall! The King of kings, O come adore our God who reigns forevermore!

Verse 2 Crown Him the Lord of life, Who triumphed o'er the grave. And rose victorious in the strife for those He came to save. His glories now we sing, Who died and rose on high, Who died eternal life to bring and lives that death may die. Chorus

Bridge All hail Redeemer, hail, for He has died for me! His praise and glory shall not fail throughout eternity!

Majesty! Lord of all! Let ev'ry throne before Him fall! The King of kings, O come adore our God who reigns forevermore! Praise God, Who reigns forevermore! You're the God Who reigns forevermore!

Apostles' Creed I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell. The third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From thence He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life T everlasting. Amen.

Prayers

Lord's Prayer Lord, remember us in Your kingdom and teach us to pray: Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven; give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen.

Words of Institution Our Lord Jesus Christ, on the night when He was betrayed, took bread, and when He had given thanks, He broke it and gave it to the disciples and said: “Take, eat; this is My T body, which is given for you. This do in remembrance of Me.” In the same way also He took the cup after supper, and when He had given thanks, He gave it to them, saying: “Drink of it, all of you; this cup is the new testament in My T blood, which is shed for you for the forgiveness of sins. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”

I Can Only Imagine

I can only imagine what it will be like When I walk by Your side. I can only imagine what my eyes will see When Your face is before me. I can only imagine.

Chorus Surrounded by Your glory, what will my heart feel? Will I dance for You Jesus, or in awe of You be still? Will I stand in Your presence or to my knees will I fall? Will I sing hallelujah? Will I be able to speak at all? I can only imagine; I can only imagine.

Verse 2 I can only imagine when that day comes And I find myself standing in the Son. I can only imagine when all I will do Is forever, forever worship You. I can only imagine.

Chorus

I can only imagine when all I will do Is forever, forever worship You. I can only imagine.

I Will Rise

There's a peace I've come to know, though my heart and flesh may fail There's an anchor for my soul; I can say “It is well”.

Chorus Jesus has overcome, and the grave is overwhelmed. The victory is won; He is risen from the dead. And I will rise when He calls my name; No more sorrow, no more pain . I will rise on eagle's wings; Before my God fall on my knees and rise, I will rise.

There's a day that's drawing near when this darkness breaks to light. And the shadows disappear and my faith shall be my eyes. Chorus

Bridge [twice] And I hear the voice of many angels sing, “Worthy is the Lamb!” And I hear the cry of ev'ry longing heart, “Worthy is the Lamb!”

“Worthy is the Lamb!” And I will rise when He calls my name; No more sorrow, no more pain. I will rise on eagle's wings; Before my God fall on my knees and rise, I will rise. I will rise!
