Fifty years ago, Spring Arbor College received its first four-year degree students. Over these many years, we have continued to offer the liberal arts permeated and undergirded by God’s truth as revealed in Jesus Christ as the foundation for lifelong learning and ongoing involvement in a changing world. Spring Arbor University now welcomes you to explore our majors, minors, and programs to identify those that will enable you best to attain your educational goals. This catalog provides program content, degree requirements, and information on specific courses for all of our undergraduate majors and minors. It is intended to be a guide and tool for you to identify a course of study to pursue, to work with your advisor in determining a plan to graduation, and to track your progress toward your degree achievement. The policies and expectations set forth in the pages following are designed to assure program quality, consistency, accountability and match with the values and mission of the University. Specifically, it delineates requirements that need to be met for graduations, majors, programs and so forth. You need to understand and abide by these requirements. But it is much more. This catalog is the menu for the intellectual banquet that is the University. Here you will be offered ways to learn about some of the finest accomplishments of mankind, and how you yourself might contribute to those in future. You will encounter information and understandings offered to you by faculty members who have spent hours and days and years exploring matters that they are eager to share with you. For this reason, I reorganized my information and am returning to plead my case with you. I have also sent the program that I am suggesting along with this letter to the mayor, Karen F. Dunigan; the congressman, Tim Walberg; Director of Campus Safety, Tom Fiero; the Sexual Assault Program Coordinator at AWARE, Linda Schwalm; and the Jackson Citizen Patriot Newspaper. My hope is that this plea is compelling enough to materialize a community crisis response team, a sexual assault/date rape awareness program, all affiliated advertisements (posters, pamphlets, etc.), and lastly, open communication on this topic between SAU and its internal and external communities.

We have before us an Application for Review (“AFR”) filed on July 13, 2009, by Christian Family Network (“CFN”),1 seeking review of the Media Bureau’s (“Bureau”) dismissal of CFN’s March 4, 2009, Informal Objection (“Objection”) to and grant of the captioned applications, as amended, for minor modification of facilities (“Applications”) for Spring Arbor University (“SAU”) Stations WJKN(AM), Jackson, and KTGG(AM), Okemos, Michigan.2 2. In its AFR in this proceeding, CFN argues that the Bureau erred in granting SAU’s Applications because the grants conflict with the expired facilities of former CFN Station DWOLY(AM), Battle Creek, Michigan, and compromise the Commission’s ability to grant the relief requested in its June 26, 2009, Application for Review of the Bureau’s actions in that case, including the Bureau’s denial of CFN’s request for reconsideration of the rejection of CFN’s untimely-filed renewal application for DWOLY(AM) and termination of the station’s authorization.3 CFN then reiterates the arguments it made in the DWOLY Application for Review. 3. By Memorandum Opinion and Order released on this date, the Commission denied the DWOLY Application for Review.4 Upon review of the AFR and the entire record, and finding no basis in the AFR to modify the Bureau Decision, we conclude that CFN has failed to demonstrate that the Bureau or Commission erred.
