Memorandum of Understanding Ruth-Pfau-Schule
National Training Institute for Leprosy at Marie Adelaide Leprosy Centre (MALC) in Karachi-Pakistan is entering into a partnership with Ruth-Pfau-Schule in Leipzig, Germany, for improving the knowledge and skills of Leprosy Technicians. The initial period of partnership will be for 3 years effective February 24, 2012, which may be extended with mutual consent. Under the MOU, Ruth-Pfau-Schule will provide the necessary support to train the selected workers of MALC, who will later act as Master Trainers. The areas identified are;
1. Care of disabled people. 2. Care of elderly. 3. Primary health care. 4. Pharmacy assistant. 5. Dental assistant. In addition to the above, other trainings may be arranged with mutual consent. The National Training Institute for Leprosy will ensure the replication of acquired knowledge in the field. Regulär reports will be submitted to assess the outcome and impact of the trainings. A mutual monitoring and evaluation system will be established to assess and improve the level of trainings received and Services rendered in the field.
