Box 64, FI-00014 University of Helsinki, Finland bFinnish Geospatial Research Institute FGI, National Land Survey of Finland, Geodeetinrinne 2, FI-02430 Masala, Finland Abstract Meteorite samples are measured with the University of Helsinki integrating-sphere UV-Vis- NIR spectrometer. The resulting spectra of 30 meteorites are compared with selected spectra from the NASA Planetary Data System meteorite spectra database. The spectral measure- ments are transformed with the principal component analysis, and it is shown that different meteorite types can be distinguished from the transformed data. The motivation is to im- prove the link between asteroid spectral observations and meteorite spectral measurements. Keywords: Meteorites, spectroscopy, principal component analysis 1. Introduction While a planet orbits the Sun, it is subject to impacts by objects ranging from tiny dust particles to much larger asteroids and comet nuclei. Such collisions of small Solar System bodies with planets have taken place frequently over geological time and played an 5 important role in the evolution of planets and development of life on the Earth. Every day approximately 30{180 tons of interplanetary material enter the Earth's atmosphere [1, 2]. This material is mostly represented by smaller meteoroids that undergo rapid ablation in the atmosphere. Under favorable initial conditions part of a meteoroid may survive the atmospheric entry and reach the ground [3]. The fragments recovered on the ground are 10 called meteorites, our valuable samples of the Solar System. -

Briceño Department of Transportation, Castilla-La Mancha University, Spain Abstract Ciudad Real is a medium size Spanish town of 70,000 people located 190 kilometres South of Madrid and enjoys collective public transportation and a high-speed rail link with Madrid. This paper presents and analyses the results of the first study on mobility and public transportation’s acceptability carried out in this town. Consequently, the methodology proposed is based on a household survey campaign (more than 995 valid questionnaires), main streets counting, a survey campaign at the main entrances and exits of town (1050 surveyed cars at the rush hour) as well as a sampling of travel time and occupancy of bus lines. Along with an analysis of city mobility, a detailed study is presented in which the relationship between the city’s interurban mobility with Madrid by high-speed train line is depicted. Keywords: urban mobility, transportation planning, public transport. 1 Introduction In Spain, according to the census conducted in 2001, 24% of the population lives in towns with less than 10,000 inhabitants, 26% in towns whose population ranges from 10,000 to 50,000 inhabitants and another 26% who lives in towns whose populations range from 50,000 to 250,000 inhabitants. In short, more than 75% of Spaniards live in small or medium size towns. These percentages vary between different countries but most of the population is concentrated in medium size towns. -

La Semana Santa Calatrava es una oportunidad para conocer el patrimonio cultural, natural y gastronómico que como identidad colectiva da forma a todos los municipios calatravos. La Orden cisterciense de Calatrava, desde su sede original en el castillo de Calatrava La Vieja, organizó la reconquista de un territorio bajo cuyo mandato surgirían numerosas poblaciones. Apellidadas con el nombre de la Orden comparten hoy unas características culturales únicas, las del Campo de Calatrava, que se manifiestan de manera muy especial en su Semana Santa. Muy características son sus escenificaciones históricas de escenas de la Pasión de Cristo con antiguos romances y músicas propias de cada localidad. En gastronomía destaca especialmente la flor de Calatrava, que es un dulce en forma de cruz, y las frutas de sartén. La artesanía también está presente, desde, la de los hojalateros en la confección de las armaduras de las cofradías de “Armaos” a las mantillas calatravas de encaje de bolillos y blonda que lucen las mujeres. Jueves Santo Las cofradías de “Armaos”, propias del Campo de Calatrava y con origen militar, visten sus armaduras tradicionales abarcando desde las de tipo romano a las del siglo XVI. -

974 Piedade do Bagre - Pima County Schreibersite is almost absent, but may be found as short, 5-l 0 J.1 wide grain boundary folia. Rhabdites are not observed. The bulk phosphorus content is estimated to be A between 0.05 and 0.10%. Troilite is scattered as small nodules and lenticular bodies, ranging from I to 5 mm in size. They occur with a frequency of about one per 20 cm2 , and contain 10-20% daubreelite in the form of parallel bars, 0.1-0.5 mm wide. Spencer & Hey (1930) reported cohenite, but this could not be confirmed. Piedade do Bagre is a somewhat annealed, medium octahedrite with an anomalously small bandwidth if com pared to Hen bury, Costilla Peak, Wabar and other irons of similar composition. The trace-element determination indi cates that it is in some degree related to these irons; Wasson (personal communication) feels, however, that it should be earmarked anomalous, since its combination of Ni, Ga, Ge and Ir places it outside the normal IliA range. This conclusion is supported by the bandwidth-Ni combination which is anomalous, too. Figure 1367. Pima County (U.S.N.M. no. 1447). The meteorite, originally a hexahedrite, is recrystallized due to shock and the Specimen in the U.S, National Museum in Washington: associated reheating. A heat-affected rim zone is present along the 398 g (no. 1559, 12 x 8.5 x 0.5 em) edge A-A. Imperfectly polished, black patches are due to corrosion. Deep-etched. Scale bar 10 mm. Schmitt The silicate phases of 11 pallasites were analyzed instrumen- tally to determine the concentrations of some major, minor, and trace elements.The silicate phases were found to contain about 98% olivine with 1 to 2% accessory minerals such as lawrencite, schreibersite, troilite, chromite, and farringtonite present.The trace element concentrations, except Sc and Mn, were found to be extremely low and were found primarily in the accessory phases rather than in the pure olivine.An unusual bimodal Mn distribution was noted in the pallasites, and Eagle Station had a chondritic nor- malized REE pattern enrichedin the heavy REE. The silicate phases of pallasites and mesosiderites were shown to be sufficiently diverse in origin such that separate classifications are entirely justified.
