Architectural and historical note

Brandsby Hall was built by Francis Cholmeley in the 1740’s and took 6 years marvellous one....with the countryside stretching away to a low horizon to complete. The Cholmeleys had lived at Brandsby since the late 16th under a high sky, the vanishing line only broken on a clear day by the three century and stayed until 1912. At its most extensive it reached 2,564 acres towers of Minster”. in 1745. During much of their time they were victims of the persecution Listed Grade II*, the south and west facades are faced with ashlar whilst the handed out to Catholic families of the day. Folklore has it that the last priest eastern façade is of coursed rubble. Internally the house boasts a wealth of hole to be built in the country was at Brandsby.
