Developed for the late Vauxhall/Chevrolet 2.0 common rail diesel engine found in the Preparation Vauxhall Antara, Chevrolet Captiva, Cruze, Epica, Lacetti and Nubira. The valve timing on these engines is set at top dead centre on No1 cylinder This kit holds the correct timing position of the crankshaft and camshaft whilst changing the timing belt on 16v SOHC belt driven diesel engines Remove the following components: N.B The information given below is for reference only. Laser Tools recommends the use of Manufacturer data or Autodata. 1. Engine top cover and front right hand inner wheel arch 2. Support the engine and remove the right hand engine mount and bracket 3. Auxiliary drive belts and tensioner 4. Timing belt covers 5. Vacuum brake pump B 6. Crankshaft front pulley remove 4 pulley mounting bolts not the central main bolt. A N.B. It is advised the water pump and belt guide pulleys are checked for smooth operation and play. Replace if required.
