White: “Holly Holm will fight before she fights Ronda again.”

Cruz on preparing for Dillashaw: “I’ve done everything I possibly can do to be physically ready to beat down TJ Dillashaw and I plan to do that with confidence.”

LOS ANGELES – UFC TONIGHT hosts Kenny Florian and Daniel Cormier interview former champ Dominick Cruz before his upcoming FS1 UFC FIGHT NIGHT title fight against TJ Dillashaw. They also catch up with UFC president . Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone discusses his next fight. Karyn Bryant and Ariel Helwani add reports.

UFC TONIGHT host Daniel Cormier on TJ Dillashaw vs. Dominick Cruz: “This is a great fight. This is the most interesting fight in the bantamweight division because you have the two best fighters in the division for a long time. This is going to be a very close and competitive fight. I’m going with Cruz. He seems confident. He has a win over Demetrious Johnson, who’s the number one pound-for-pound fighter in the world. He’s beaten everybody.”

UFC TONIGHT host Kenny Florian on who he’s picking between Dillashaw and Cruz: “This is a fascinating fight. I like both these guys. I’m going with TJ Dillashaw. He’s been the active fighter. Dominick has been out for a little while. I think Dillashaw gets the decision.”

Dominick Cruz on if he’s been trash talking TJ Dillashaw: “You guys both know talking is just talking. The fight is what matters. I’m just having fun keeping it real. I wasn’t talking trash. I was talking the truth. I wasn’t making anything up.”

Cruz on if he thinks Dillashaw is mentally weak: “I know he’s just not that bright. He’s not the sharpest tool. He’s kind of a meat-head jock. He didn’t want to talk. I told him I don’t want to be here looking at your ugly face either so you might as well talk. He said I’m here to fight. I told him: No, we’re here to talk. Why else are we here? It blew my mind.”

Cruz on breaking down the fight with Dillashaw: “I look at the tests he’s had to build him as a champion that makes him who he is and the things I’ve done make me relevant. The titles I’ve fought for and things I’ve faced make me who I am. Fighting Joe Soto on two hours’ notice. Fighting Barao, who’s stationary opponent tailor made for a moving opponent. I’ve faced fast- moving targets who are still very relevant in the sport today. Those are the guys I’ve faced.”

Cruz on if this fight feels different from others, since he’s been gone for so long: “They do feel different. DC, you’ve had some big fights that came out of nowhere. You know how it feels. I’ve defended the title on the biggest fights in the world so many times. I know what’s expected of me. I’ve over-prepared for this just like I’ve over-prepared my body for everything. I’ve done everything I possibly can do to be physically ready to beat down TJ Dillashaw and I plan to do that with confidence.”

Dana White on if and will fight a rematch: “I don’t know. They were just in a five-round war. I’m not talking to them about fighting right now. It was a very close fight. It all depends on how you score that third round.”

White on if he’s talked to Carlos Condit about retiring: “No, I haven’t. I leave guys alone for a while and let them spend time with family and heal up before I ever call about fighting.”

White on possible changes in judging after questionable calls at UFC 195: “That night there were a lot of controversial decisions. But for the most part, with the new commission and the way things have been going, it’s better than it’s ever been. It’ll never be perfect.”

White on what Ryan Bader and Anthony Johnson are fighting for: “Bader has been on a run. Bader’s wanted a shot at [Cormier]. If he can get through the monster of Johnson, he’ll deserve his shot.”

White on if fights again: “You will see Ronda Rousey fight again. She’s dedicated the last three years to working hard, fighting, promoting, and taking the UFC to the next level. She’s taking some well-deserved time off. But you’ll see her fight again.”

White on if Conor McGregor will vacate his 145 belt to fight for the 155 title: “Conor has said he’d like to win the 155 belt, fight four times a year, and defend both belts. If anybody can, he could. He’s done everything he’s said he would. I’m interested. Normally, I’d say if you move up in weight, you have to give up the belt. He wants to fight. He really likes money. If anyone can do it, it’s him.”

White on if Holly Holm will have a rematch with Ronda Rousey next: “Holly Holm will fight before she fights Ronda again.”
