11-1101 Sculpture Design Basics

Sculpture as a three-dimensional expression – applying fine values – balancing between blocks and vacuums – dropping in the external font – and the internal and axes – movement expressing – textures – discussions – showing and analyzing the good models – practical attempts.

11 – 1102 Relief Sculpture Design

Developing artistic meditation of nature – studying some of its elements – placing it in expressive simple formations – fine values verification – execution on flat slabs of the relief sculpture.

11- 2102 Relief Sculpture Design

Inspiring Egyptian coptic and traditional heritage to achieve personal expressions from relief sculpture valid for performing a practical function – executing the designs by getting advantages from simultaneous technological knowledge – (such as wood carving)

Designing architectural decorative units –cornices, ornaments and decorative fillings, by engineering or natural units – executing designs by the suitable technological methods drawn from architectural sculpture technology.

Identifying the changeable meaning of sculpture since European Renaissance till the twentieth century – changeable philosophy – the impact of modern technology on contemporary sculpture style – works of contemporary sculptors.

11- 4113 Sculpture Design Economies

Studying costs of materials – execution time – related wages – total costs – economic studies of design.

11- 4114 Graduation Project

The project shall be determined in the beginning of the year – by informing the supervisor and the department council’s approval of a comprehensive application of all learned information and experiences from the study in the department.

Reading the drawings of internal sculptors and designers – knowing terms related to drawing –projections

Studying main factors that affect construction durability which have a relatively large size which increase their weight or expose them to resist wind which in turn helps the sculpture designer to identify the suitable armatures and putting them in the effective way.

The emergence of Archeology – its importance – defining the role of wealthy – the relationship between Archeology and other sciences such as History – Art … and others –the importance of conservation and maintenance of monuments.
