¾Govt. of India, Department of Electronics & IT (DeitY) endorsed the operations of National Internet Registry (NIR) to NIXI.
¾ APNIC accorded recognition to NIXI on 3rd March, 2012 after evaluation of it’s s/w to become the NIR for India.
¾NIR software developed locally by NIXI and evaluated by APNIC.
¾ NIR in India has been named as Indian Registry for Internet Names and Numbers (IRINN) ¾ IRINN is entttdrusted with the ttkask of ddlelega ting IP addresses within India.
¾ Each account hldholder of IRINN is refdferred to as Affil iate. IRINN provides services to its affiliates
¾ IRINN has its own Software and ticketing System with MyIRINN Portal for providing the services.
¾ IRINN has its local WHOIS database which syncs with APNIC WHOIS database.
¾ MyIRINN Portal is having all the features, which are required for Internet Resource management, similar to MyAPNIC. Contd ¾ Facilitate the allocation of IP resources to largenumberofsmalland medium companies within the country.

¾ IRINN evaluates and approves every application according to the local and regional policies.
¾ Maximum delegation size for IPv4 is restricted to /22 and Minimum delegation size for IPv6 address is /32 for LIRs & /48 for Corporate affiliate in line with APNIC policy.
¾IRINN policy encourages Affiliates to offer suggestions for improvement. Affiliation Growth Projection
¾ IRINN is operational from December, 2012. As on Feb 22, 2013 we have 71 IRINN affiliate both transfer and new one’s .
