NBA D-LEAGUE AFFILIATE - CANTON CHARGE

The Canton Charge (31-18), presented by SecureData 365 and powered by the Cleveland Cavaliers, fell on the road to the Westchester Knicks (27-20), 131-115, in Canton’s penultimate matchup of the 2015-16 NBA Development League regular season. The hosts’ 131 points scored were the most allowed by Canton this season as Westchester hit 53-of-93 shots from the field as a team (57%). Canton was led by Nick Minnerath’s 30 points on 10-of-15 shooting and nine rebounds in 34 minutes off the bench. John Holland connected on 8-of-13 attempts for 22 points in 32 minutes. Quinn Cook scored 21 points and dished out six assists in 34 minutes. Sir’Dominic Pointer had five points, eight boards, three steals, and two blocks in 24 minutes off the bench for the Charge.

ROCKIN’ THE Q: The Cavs opened the 2015-16 season at The Q on Oct. 30 against the Miami Heat, which was their 11th straight home opener sellout. The Cavs have sold out the arena in all 37 home games so far this season. To date, including regular season (377) and playoffs (45), there have been 422 sellouts at The Q and 88 consecutive sellouts (regular season and playoff games only, dating back to 10/30/14).

 The Cavaliers sold out each of their 41 home games at Quicken Loans Arena in 2014-15, their second time selling out every game in the regular season (2009-10).  Cleveland also filled up the arena in all 10 home games during the 2015 Playoffs.  The team’s 400th sellout (regular + post) at The Q came on Jan. 2, 2016 against Orlando.

Fans can donate canned food and non-perishable items at collection bins located at all entrances at Quicken Loans Arena at Tuesday and Thursday’s games. The “Super Six” most needed food items are: peanut butter, tuna fish, canned vegetables, canned soup, cereal and beef stew. Fans who attend either game and donate all Super Six items will be entered into a drawing to win two tickets to a First Round home Playoff game. Fans who are interested in entering the raffle must drop their Super Six items off at the Arcade Entrance (Huron/E. 6th St.) only. Those in attendance at Thursday’s game can also help by participating in the in-arena 50/50 raffle, which will benefit Harvest for Hunger.
