My Miss Tapit Is a Stakes Winning Daughter by the Dominant Sire of His Era Tapit PASSPORT OVERVIEW My Miss Tapit is a Stakes winning daughter by the dominant sire of his era Tapit. She began her career 2 for 2 including a gutsy Stakes Win over next out G2 Black-Eyed Susan winner Actress in the Game Face Stakes at Gulfstream. My Miss Tapit is running her lifetime best figures as a 4-year-old earning two wicked fast 1 Thoro-Graphs (G1 winning caliber) romping by 6 ¼ lengths in an Allowance at Gulfstream followed by a G2 Placing just one week ago. She is out of the proven producer and G3 winning, Broken Vow mare - Sindy With an S - and a half sister to G3P I'll Wrap It Up and G3P Rattataptap, holding significant residual value as a broodmare. MY MISS TAPIT HIP TAPIT X SINDY WITH AN S (BROKEN VOW) 485 BARN 10 Selling Monday, July 9th RACE RECORD Only 1 week ago My Miss Tapit earned G2 placed status, running 3rd in the G2 Princess Rooney at Gulfstream Park on June 30th. She is a proven Stakes winner at 3 and is running her lifetime best figures as a 4 year-old. Below is a chronological timeline of her race career with some highlights: 2017 APRIL 22ND, 2017 - $75,000 GAME FACE STAKES AT GULFSTREAM After breaking her maiden in her first start, My Miss Tapit went straight to Stakes company and stretched out in distance to 7 furlongs. Rating nicely on the outside mid-pack, when asked she easily accelerated wide around the turn and found the lead near the ¼ pole to win going away. She earned a strong 84 Beyer for this performance and decisively defeated MGSW ACTRESS, who went on to win the G2 Black-Eyed Susan in her next start. Won by 1 ¼ lengths, 84 Beyer, 6 ¼ Thoro-Graph WATCH RACE REPLAY (SHE IS #1) CLICK TO VIEW CHART After her impressive stakes win at Gulfstream Park in April, trainer Todd Pletcher elected to stretch My Miss Tapit out in distance and set the G2 Mother Goose going a 1 1/16 mile as her next target. She turned in a 4th place finish in a strong field beating G2P/SW Lights of Medina and MG2P Vexatious with her effort. My Miss Tapit went on to finish her 3 year-old campaign with a run in the G3 Monmouth Oaks. Finishing 5th, she was beaten 4 lengths for it all coming behind G3W Teresa Z, who has gone on to win a stake in 2018, and G3W Overture. 8 Month Layoff After two unsuccessful attempts routing, trainer Todd Pletcher sent My Miss Tapit in for lameness diagnostics with Dr. Larry Bramlage. She was ultimately diagnosed with a condylar hairline fracture, however did not receive surgery and was given the full 6 months to recover before starting back in training. 2018 APRIL 14TH, 2018 - ALLOWANCE N2X AT GULFSTREAM PARK Todd Pletcher elected to shorten My Miss Tapit up for her 2018 debut and it paid off huge as she romped in a 6 ¾ length victory. Parked wide on the outside, she steadily picked up horses in a 4-wide run around the turn with fractions of :44.4 and 1:09.3 kicking clear at the top of the stretch to draw away from the field. My Miss Tapit earned a G1 winning caliber 1 Thoro-Graph for her win. Won by 6 ¾ lengths, 90 Beyer, 1 Thoro-Graph WATCH RACE REPLAY (SHE IS #1) CLICK TO VIEW CHART 2018 JUNE 30TH, 2018 – G2 PRINCESS ROONEY AT GULFSTREAM On an extremely hot day at Gulfstream Park (record highs) My Miss Tapit turned in a 3rd place finish in the G2 Princess Rooney. Breaking a bit flat footed My Miss Tapit was uncharacteristically completely uninvolved early in the race. She swung 4 wide and began her rally down the lane ultimately settling for 3rd. She was 15 feet wider than the winner and widest trip in the entire field. On top of this Trainer Todd Pletcher along with jockey Tyler Gaffalione agreed that she did not cope with the heat well and may appreciate cooler weather. 3rd wide and in extreme heat, 83 Beyer, 1 Thoro-Graph WATCH RACE REPLAY (SHE IS #1) CLICK TO VIEW CHART SPEED FIGURES MY MISS TAPIT MY MISS TAPITPletcher, Todd A. Has 4 Triple Crown races: In 2007, won the Belmont Stakes (and his first Triple Crown race) on Rags to Riches. In 2011, won his first Kentucky Derby-G1, riding Animal Kingdom; he picked up the mount the day before the race when early Derby favorite Uncle Mo was scratched because of illness. Uncle Mo was Velazquez’ third Derby mount to scratch close to the race; he was the regular rider for Quality Road and Eskendereya, who were both scratched a week before the Kentucky Derby, in 2009 and 2010, respectively. Won his third Triple Crown race on Union Rags in the Belmont in 2012. He replaced Julien Leparoux, who had ridden Union Rags in the Kentucky Derby. In 2017 he won his second Kentucky Derby (and first with longtime friend and colleague, Todd Pletcher) on Always Dreaming. In 2009, was awarded the George Woolf Memorial Jockey Award, an honor granted by his peers. The Woolf Award goes to a rider whose careers and personal character earn esteem for the individual and the sport of Thoroughbred horse racing.
