● Niger river levels still remain at high levels especially in and downstream near the southern border south of Gaya, Dosso. ● Over Niamey, imagery on September 6 showed continued inundation and impacts to critical assets in the Kirkissoye neighborhood. ● High resolution tasked imagery over Niamey shows flooded homes in detail on September 8. ● Dosso experienced the greatest rainfall this week on September 11 of 35 mm according to satellite rainfall estimates ● Relatively little rainfall forecasted for the next week.

The Niger river levels downstream in Gaya are higher than the historical September average. Levels also appear to be past normal levels in Niamey on September 6. See next three slides.
