Engagement • Established a Voter Education Campaign that included conference-wide voting challenge to encourage student athletes, coaches, administrators, and staff to exercise their right and civic duty to vote. The campaign included promotion of educational materials and amplification of initiatives being executed on campus. Several campuses served as polling sites for the November 3 Election Day. • Conducted a Men’s and Women’s Basketball Suit Drive during both league tournaments that yielded more than 275 suits donated to United Way of Greater Greensboro Family Success Center and other local organizations.

Organizational Culture • Reviewed department staff makeup, hiring practices and empowerment of diverse hires on campuses and at the Conference office. • Developed a directory of local minority-owned businesses to encourage staff to utilize these vendors for conference operations. • Pursuing collaborations with other collegiate athletic entities in our respective community to establish initiatives and programs in our community to bring about change in the areas of diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice.

Partnership • Partnered with local organizations, International Civil Rights Center & Museum and United Way of Greater Greens- boro’s Family Success Centers.
