In the spirit of “never ask someone to do something that you wouldn’t do yourself,” here’s my take on a few of the questions you’ll see in our “On the Spot” interviews. • If you had to pick one meal to have every day for the rest of your life, what would it be? Alaskan king crab legs, baked potato (butter only), and the Key lime “pearl diver” cookies shaped like an oyster shell that pastry chef Sabrina Courtemanche is serving up at Wild Sea at the Riverside Hotel on Las Olas. • When is the last time you were scared? Last year, a rogue wave along Boynton Beach rolled all the way to the lifeguard stand and washed over my then-2-year-old daughter, whose little body was completely submerged. Had I not grabbed her leg, she would have ended up about 100 yards away, along with our towels, chairs and beach bags. • Aside from something involving family, what never fails to tug at your heartstrings? The last 30 minutes of “Avengers: Endgame,” which I may see 10 more times before summer is over. Also, and I’m not sure why, but the U.S. hockey team defeating Russia in the 1980 Winter Olympics—and Al Michaels’ “Do you believe in miracles?” call—gets me every time.
