Media Statement Tuesday, 17 November 2020 For immediate Release MEC Thandi Moraka congratulates Master KG, Sho Madjozi for winning Afrimas. Limpopo MEC for Sport, Arts and Culture, Hon Thandi Moraka would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Kgaogelo Moagi popularly known as Master KG and Sho Madjozi for winning All Africa Music Awards this week. the Best African Act at the 2020 MTV EMAs. Master KG was the biggest winner of the night after taking home the Artist of The Year Award, Song of The Year, Best Male Southern Africa Award as well as the coveted Best Collaboration for the ‘Jerusalema‘ remix featuring Nomcebo Zikode and Nigerian Superstar Burna Boy. Internationally recognized Limpopo born Sho Madjozi also scooped the Best Female Southern Africa Award. Other award winners from South Africa include Kabzaa De Small who won producer of the year and Nasty C who took home the Best Male Rap Act Award. All Africa Music Awards is an annual award event established by International Committee AFRIMA in collaboration with the African Union to reward and celebrate musical works, talents and creativity around the African continent while promoting the African cultural heritage. The first Awards show was held in 2014. Mater KG has cemented himself in the music industry after his song Jerusalem reached more than 200 million views on the YouTube channel. The song has also been making waves internationally as people from countries such as Portugal, Spain, United Kingdom, France, Nepal etc. can be seen all over social media dancing to the song. “Both Master KG and Sho Madjozi are true ambassadors for Limpopo Province, they both have done well and representing both the province and the country with pride.
