Paul Reid’s side have lost two on the trot after starting the second half of the season with With both teams fighting to keep their finals three straight wins. hopes alive expect this game to have plenty of twists and turns. Last week they were embarrassed 4-1 by APIA Leichhardt Tigers and will need three points against Manly to keep their finals hopes alive. Manly United are in a similar predicament and last week’s 1-1 draw against Blacktown City wasn’t the result they would’ve been looking for. Alec Urosevski goes from strength to strength this season and he netted once again in Round 16 for the Suns. The winger is arguably the best in his position in the competition and will be tough to stop. Manly defender Kieran Paull was the standout last round for the Northern Beaches based side and will be out for another big showing this week. 1ST GRADE - NPL NSW MEN’S POS TEAM P W D L F A GD PTS 1 Sydney Olympic FC 16 11 3 2 29 14 15 36 2 APIA Leichhardt Tigers FC 16 10 2 4 37 17 20 32 3 Sydney United 58 FC 16 8 2 6 25 19 6 26 4 Blacktown City FC 15 7 4 4 22 14 8 25 5 Wollongong Wolves FC 16 6 4 6 17 26 -9 22 6 Marconi Stallions FC 16 5 5 6 20 25 -5 20 7 Rockdale City Suns FC 16 6 2 8 29 35 -6 20 8 Hakoah Sydney City East FC 16 5 4 7 24 24 0 19 9 Manly United FC 16 4 6 6 22 25 -3 18 10 Bonnyrigg White Eagles FC 15 5 3 7 22 32 -10 18 11 Sutherland Sharks FC 16 5 2 9 21 25 -4 17 12 Sydney FC 16 3 3 10 20 32 -12 12 5 MATCH REVIEWS #NPLNSW APIA Leichhardt Tigers 4 – Rockdale City Suns 1 at Lambert Park A Jordan Murray hat-trick helped APIA Leichhardt Tigers to a 4-1 win over Rockdale City Suns at Lambert Park. Tasuku Sekiya opened the scoring in the first half after good work by Corey Biczo, before Murray struck thrice to take his tally to 14 goals for the season. Half-time substitute Toufic Alameddine scored a consolation for the visitors, but it was far too little, far too late. The result cuts Sydney Olympic’s lead at the top of the table to four points and keeps APIA in with a fighting chance of snatching the premiership for the second straight year. Manly United FC 1 – Blacktown City FC 1 at Cromer Park Manly United and Blacktown City shared the points after an intriguing 1-1 draw at Cromer Park on Sunday afternoon. In what was very much a game of two halves, Manly should have led by more than a single Dylan Macallister goal at the break. However a second half Blacktown resurgence saw the visitors pull one back through Giorgio Speranza, before almost snatching an unlikely victory. In a high quality contest, both sides experienced lengthy periods of possession but were unable to effectively capitalise upon chances created. Both clubs are now four weeks without a win, but were provided with plenty of positives to focus on heading into the business end of the National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s season. 6 NPLNSW.COM.AU TEAM OF THE WEEK 01: LARGE USE: OVER 150MM WIDE This logo has a smaller ‘®’ symbol FOOTBALL NSW WOULD LIKE TO THANK THEIR SPONSORS FOR THEIR CONTINUED SUPPORT 02: SMALL USE: 55MM - 150MM WIDE This logo has a larger ‘®’ symbol 7 ROUND OF 32 Adelaide United v Central Coast Mariners Perth Glory v Melbourne Victory Brisbane Roar FC v Melbourne City FC Northcote City FC v Devonport Strikers Port Melbourne Sharks SC v APIA Leichhardt Tigers FC Lions FC v Olympic FC Heidelberg United FC v Charlestown City Blues FC Gwelup Croatia SC v Adelaide Comets Canberra FC v Broadmeadow Magic FC Cairns FC v Armadale SC Bonnyrigg White Eagles FC v Hakoah East Sydney FC Avondale FC v Marconi Stallions FC Hellenic Athletic Club v Western Sydney Wanderers FC Gold Coast Knights FC v Newcastle Jets Bentleigh Greens SC v Wellington Phoenix Rockdale City Suns FC v Sydney FC Note: Dates, venues and kick-off times will be announced early next week. #FFACUP #MAGICOFTHECUP 8 NPLNSW.COM.AU TOP GOAL SCORERS NAME AND CLUB GOALS SCORED Jordan Murray (APIA Leichhardt Tigers) 14 Alejandro Sanchez (Sydney Olympic) 11 Alec Urosevski (Rockdale City Suns) 9 Jeremy Cox (Sydney FC) 8 Adrian Vranic (Sutherland Sharks) 8 Anthony Frangie (Hakoah) 8 Joey Gibbs (Blacktown City) 7 Tasuku Sekiya (APIA Leichhardt Tigers) 7 Jaewook Woo (Bonnyrigg White Eagles) 7 Peter Simonoski (Wollongong Wolves) 7 Jordan Murray *Does not include FFA Cup goals WARATAH Cup WARATAH Cup 2018 WARATAH CUP GRAND FINAL Sunday, 15 July, 2018 V Time and location TBA 9 TEAM LISTS - U20’S #NPLNSW 18 Anthony Vastag 35 Jared Kadar 26 Jake Trajkovski 36 Josh Briskoski 29 Caleb Bartier 41 Josh Tasevski 30 Nathan Separovic 52 Mohammad Rajani 31 George Vagerakas 55 George Medakovic 34 Alex Malfara 64 Cameron Ward Head Coach: Steve Zoric 24 William Martin 32 Tallon Zahra 25 Kye Conna 34 Ben Varvaressos 26 Jamie Glover 35 Rhys Vorillas 27 Gabriel Cole 36 Lachlan McGrath 28 Ryan Chambers 37 Finn Ashton 29 Alex Demarco 38 Max Rogers 30 Samuel Benton (GK) 31 Oscar Casteigt Coach: Adam Griffiths Assistant Coach: Marty Judge Manager: Ida Rigoni U20’S - NPL NSW MEN’S POS TEAM P W D L F A GD PTS 1 Sutherland Sharks FC 16 10 1 5 36 20 16 31 2 Sydney FC 16 8 6 2 45 30 15 30 3 Blacktown City FC 15 9 1 5 31 21 10 28 4 Hakoah Sydney City East FC 16 9 1 6 26 26 0 28 5 Wollongong Wolves FC 16 8 2 6 25 20 5 26 6 Manly United FC 16 6 4 6 23 18 5 22 7 Sydney United 58 FC 16 7 1 8 23 23 0 22 8 Bonnyrigg White Eagles FC UNDER15 20’S5 5 5 18 19 -1 20 9 APIA Leichhardt Tigers FC 16 6 1 9 22 24 -2 19 10 Marconi Stallions FC 16 5 2 9 19 32 -13 17 11 Sydney Olympic FC 16 3 4 9 15 29 -14 13 12 Rockdale City Suns FC 16 3 4 9 16 37 -21 13 10 NPLNSW.COM.AU U20’S MATCH PREVIEW anly United travel to Illiden Sports Center Mon Sunday afternoon with just four points to make up on fifth-placed Wollongong Wolves after a stunning victory over Blacktown City in Round 16.
