Birds of canada introduction My name is nick i am 12 years old and i am making my project all about birds. I am choosing to make my project about birds because they are my favorite animal and i plan to have 1+ bird(s) when i can. For my project i will only do 3 or 4 bird species. With a brief description and picture. because there are to many to name and the project will have to many things. And i will also not do the birds in the northern territories , newfoundland and labrador, new brunswick and nova scotia. Because of the little time i have. Pet birds Birds were first kept as pets around 4000 years ago. They were kept in cages for their beauty. Egypt was the first place to keep birds as pets. The Wood Duck The Wood Duck or Carolina Duck is a species of Perching Duck found in North America. It is considered one of the most colorful North American Waterfowl.
