The Study Area The study area is located within the Moorabool Shire Council local government area and comprises both the Parwan Station PSP and the Parwan Employment Precinct (PEP). The study area section for the Parwan Station PSP comprises gently undulating volcanic plain, flanked to the northwest by Parwan Creek and its escarpment and to the northeast by the Werribee River and its escarpment. The PSP study area section is bounded by Geelong-Bacchus Marsh Road to the west and by the PEP (which is discussed in a separate report) to the south. Desktop Assessment Based on the results of the desktop assessment and the distribution of Aboriginal places within the geographic region, the most likely types of Aboriginal places to be found across the study area are: • Those comprising flaked stone artefacts, either as single isolated artefacts or scatters of stone artefacts ranging from extensive and higher density to smaller and/or diffuse scatters.
