Nephi Recreation October 2019

Message from the Manager: I am excited to introduce myself to you and the community as the new Nephi Recreation Manager. TJ Sutherland will be working as the Recreation Supervisor. We would both like to thank John Bradley and Michael Barlow for the work they have done and the programs they have built. We are excited to continue that work and continue growing programs to serve our community. Nephi Recreation is starting to wrap up our fall sports, and are gearing up for our winter sports. Thank you to all the coaches and parents that helped make our fall sports a success. The registration deadline for Junior Jazz Basketball is approaching fast. We are also bring- ing back our Adult Men’s Basketball League, and will continue the league for the women. There are a few new programs and camps that will be offered in the winter. First is our Turkey Bowl which will be played the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving. This is an Adult Flag Football Tournament that will have pool play and a single elimination tournament. Next we have brought in former Basketball Coach Dick Hunsaker to run a youth basketball camp. The camp will be on January 2nd and 3rd, and will focus on fundamentals. You can register for these at www.nephirecreation.com or stop in to our office at 21 East 100 North, or just give us a call at 435-623-1004. We are excited to continue our tradition of the Halloween Carnival. After you do the Trunk or Treat on main street come on over to the Carnival at Town Square Park. This year we are bringing in bounce houses, we will also have games and concessions. TJ and I would like to thank you for your patience with us and for your support as we make this transition.
